I panic because I think this GERMANY in 1940

Kaiser Wilhelm II, and by extension the entirety of Germany, was betrayed by his Generals, allies, and the world.

Kaiser Wilhelm II was effectively "betrayed" by his generals during World War I by taking control of military strategy and decision-making, essentially sidelining him as the nominal supreme commander, while still using his authority to justify their actions and leaving him ultimately responsible for the war's disastrous outcome; despite being the Kaiser, he was largely excluded from key military decisions and was forced to abdicate when the war turned against Germany, leaving him to bear the blame without real power to influence the situation.

Germany was betrayed by it's allies by way of Italy completely flipping, the Ottomans surrendering, and having to take all the blame for something that was Austria and Serbia's fault.

Sure, both Austria and Germany were sanctioned, but Austria essentially decided not to pay the war debts, leaving Germany having to pay everything. (At the peak of German hyperinflation in the Weimar Republic, a loaf of bread cost around 200 billion (200,000,000,000) German marks, all because of Germans actually being faithful to paying the reparations).
