Here's the deal I absolutely love Nickelback they're loved and hated and so volatile because they're the last of the real rock and roll bands. The only criticism I have is when you've been that innovative for so long you start stealing and repeating ideas you've had in the past. I think they should take a page out of Greta Van fleets book and pick up the pallet of colors they used in the past but find songs to reconstruct in Calderon. Jake is the master of taking songs and tweaking them rearranging them and making them his own I think Nickelback could do that let's say with a couple of Doobie Brothers songs. It's like Billy Joel said at some point all the cords will have been played in all the rhythms exhausted leading us back to classical or progressive rock. My point is all pop music has always been plagiarized and rearranged from other people's ideas. Was Frank Marino Jimi Hendrix no how about Robin Trower no but they use Jimi Hendrix palette to create new sounds. The miracle of Ian Anderson and Jethro Tull was after 20 album to be hard-pressed to find two songs that were similar yet they could come from no one else. Why they had they haven't played the Superbowl is mind-boggling. There's a gal where I work that hates Nickelback but it's because of the beautiful love ballads they wrote that she fell in love with her ex-husband and he was a huge fan. So it was more about hating that time in her life than the music. If you have never seen Nickelback live view of Miss something very special I would encourage you to get out there and support the band while they're still around.
