The wire goes toward the IAC valve! I believe I installed mine wrong I’m gonna take it off this afternoon and place it right I couldn’t remember how it came off. Thank you for this I’ve searched for this

ОтветитьGreat video! I have a 95 F150 5.0L that's been sitting for 15 years. New dist, fuel tanks, etc, etc. Got it to fire and run but same symptoms as you describe. I was thinking clogged cat next. Thanks for all this info for backyard guys like us. What scanner and software are you using? I'd love to pull info like that from this OBD1.

ОтветитьI had gone thru this procedure on my 05 kia 6cyl (in past had timing correlation code and injector 5 code) hint of water in oil I thought I was crazy (messed up head or headmaster side note) but THIS PROCESS HERE after putting back together tps in wrong spot gave me transmission issues. It felt like. Well I've had transmission issues searching for gears stop sign complete stop 3rd gear wait a sec....1st gear....take off unless floored gas before hit other end intersection I'm bout working my way into 3rd COULD THIS POSSIBLY FIX THAT ISSUE and fucked up head or head gasket on the soon to be worked on kia?

ОтветитьSo I have same exact setup truck just 1995. Was driving made it about 18 mins from the house and truck completely died on me. After running through the normal stuff ended up being the positive terminal end. Replaced that truck started now, but got codes off my OBD1 for the tps and idle air control. Replaced those. Truck runs but still has no pep, runs better but no real pep. Got code 158 for maf and code 998. I replaced it but I'm guessing it is a short in the wire causing this last problem? Yes or no. Thank you; chris
ОтветитьI’am kind of guessing it’s my tps causing my truck too run poorly and to idle high, at start it idles good but when I give it gas it stays very high, I disconnect the idle control valve and it stays on low rpm’s but when I connect it back it idles high again. Any pointers will help thanks
ОтветитьBackstory: Wasn’t running right. Would start up fine and run perfect when it was cold but when it warmed up it would flood itself and stall. Wouldn’t start again until it cooled down. Parked it and it sat for 3 years.
Current: Same problem but now it misfires. Only thing that’s weird is that it won’t even warm up (according to cluster) so it’s not stalling. Check engine light comes on after about 5 minutes of running and that’s when it starts running rough. Also feels like it’s in limp mode and has no torque.
Hello i have a f 250 351w 4 x 4 5.8l that i am getting carbon fouling on all 8 plugs 30 minutes after changing them. I have a new fuel filter.. Fuel pressure regulator... I have checked all my vaccum hoses. I am in an area where i have not been successful at recuiting knowledgeable mechanics. Please help.
ОтветитьHave E150 5ltr, just doesn't have even power curve, plenty of power at above idle and floored, it just seems boggy in the middle, don't want just low. Rpm power or floored only power. No ck engine lt. Just would like half power at half throttle, any suggestions, engine is good ,clean, doesn't burn oil, compression good all 8, it's just flatish in the middle, does make a difference to gas it just full in the middle. ????
