In my opinion the cats should have given her a chance. I mean apple dusk gets to stay? He had a part to play in it AND she lost her kits I say that’s horrible enough I say the cats deserved it. Maple shades a cool villain though props to her

I’m welcome to hate but I absolutely hate appledusk so much cause of how he acted like he loved her, even on the day she was exiled he saw her and it really seemed like he loved her so when mapleshade was exiled she crossed the river thinking appledusk still loved her just to realize he suddenly hates her and has a new mate, and I don’t like how people say it’s her fault the kits died, she has no experience with water how was she supposed to know there would be a flash flood? They were doing fine untill it came and she never meant it to happen, she loved her kits so much and if you still think it’s her fault it would be impossible to deny how she was devastated and appledusk was just so brains less and stupid and started yelling at a mother who had just lost her kits! She was already grieving she dident have to be yelled at by the cat she thought loved her, and there’s a cat who also got one of her kits killed but nobody cares about it, Bluestar, I love her but she took her kits out in a blizzard when they were very very young and mosskit dies, but nobody hates on her for it and oakheart did not start yelling or being angry at her, he was actually loyal. Back to mapleshade, and if appledusk had just told her he had a new mate and it was over she probably would have gone to two leg place or another clan and lived the rest of her life with her kits- and I know some people say she trapped him in a relationship so he couldn’t leave, if you see this could tell me why exactly he couldent leave? And I mean a reason, not just saying she’s toxic or saying you have delt with toxic people, these are cats who live in a clan its not the same as a toxic relationship in real life where you live with your toxic partner or you just live alone, They dident even live in the same clan and mapleshade could do nothing if he wanted to leave her, he could easily just tell her at a gathering and say it’s over, how is that so hard even if she is toxic? If she took it badly and attacked him there would literally be four whole clans there to stop it and she probably wouldn’t even attack him if she still had her kits, and I don’t like how well he treated reedshine and how he treated her so much better than mapleshade, I know she was from a different clan and couldent really actually do as well, but he just treated her terribly by the way he changed moods so quickly from love to hate, and I really don’t understand how people could say she saw her kits as an object, it’s just so confusing it’s not like after she had the kits and saw appledusk she started saying stuff like, this means you can’t leave me or treating them like objects, she loved more than anything else, after they died when she was told to leave she literally said she couldent leave her kits cause they were everything to her, and I don’t hate reedshine but I don’t like what she did when mapleshade wanted a place in riverclan- she said she caused trouble, like what trouble did she cause by going there cause she thought appledusk still loved her and loosing her kits? BUT I do know this doesent justify her actions, they were not right especially what she did after death, so don’t come replying and acting like I said she was good, but I do think that what she did while she was alive was her killing because she was insane or blinded by grief, she literally started having hallucinations that their children were trapped and would only be free if she avenged them, after she killed appledusk she had a hallucination of her kit saying “thank you mama! We’re free!” If you had a hallucination that your kids were trapped and you could help them pretty sure you wouldn’t take it well, I do realize it wasent actually her kits and that’s another point that she was going insane, alot of people say appledusk deserved more but I think he deserves nothing, I think mapleshade deserves a mate that loves her and is loyal to her even when it could mean getting exiled and that doesent cheat on her. I also don’t see how people say he dident cheat he was with them both at the same time and cheated on both of them but in the end he clearly loved reedshine more

I always wondered what would applesusk do/ what would happen to him if mapleshade kits survived, would he still leave mapleshade for reedshine? Would he and mapleshade both be exiled, would they let mapleshade stay because her kits are half river clan?

I hate seeing Mapleshade as a villain. She was driven into grief after her kits died, betrayed by her own mate, kicked out of both Riverclan and Thunderclan, and having Frecklewish watch her kits drown. It's terrible.. I don't understand Mapleshade is a hated character by people for her actions. The only reason she killed Frecklewish, Ravenwing, and Appledusk was because it was their fault she got into grief and she seeked revenge on them. As her stages of grief kept going on throughout her life, she slowly started growing insane. I feel like she deserves a second chance and go to Starclan to see her kits. It wasn't her fault she went through stages of grief. Frecklewish should be in the dark forest instead, for watching Mapleshade's kits drown.

I do believe you got Appledusk's death wrong as well.
Since originally Mapleshade went after Reedshine, and Appledusk jumped in front of her to protect his pregnant(?) mate.
