"At this ridiculously low price" seriously? Compared to what? a car? I'm afraid you're a little tone deaf my friend. It seems like a great printer compared to the mostly garbage out there but there's not "low price" about it.

Lets be honest: Prusa should not cost around $1000. Outdated design, 3D printed part... when you pay such money you sponsor Joseph for his open source work for community. As result many people uses his work for free, Prusa sell less printers and because of that printer price is higher that it should be. BambuLab doesn't give anything back to community, they don't open source anything.

The X1 Carbon makes the Prusa look like it's from a bygone age... Of course looks aren't everything.

hope to afford one day to get one of those printers. In regards to all the access wastage of plastic material especially when making a colour print, couldn't the printer print another model with the waste so at the end make the model someone requires an end up with a bonus separate toy ?

Realistically speaking you get a price premium just cuz. It's a 3-D printer but no printer should be that much more expensive than the ones. We already have the only thing that is added is a Z height.

I want one but according to reddit it has a lot of problems .people are stuck with printers with warped beds, faulty ams , extruders burning etc.
So it is a matter waiting or gambling

Hi Steffan :)
Würdest du sagen du würdest den Bambu Lab X1 Carbon empfehlen?
Mit einem Budget von ca. 1500€ - 2000€

When I think low price for a non-necessity i think like 100-200$ max 1000$ is very expensive for something that might not get used much by the average consumer.

Ive got one and its amazing... Had 2 mk3s, but now i rarely use them anymore because of the X1 carbon. Mostly if iam too lazy to take off the AMS for TPU. The X1 never failed me so far and its amazingly fast and accurate.

I love what you are doing, and like always this was an awesome review.I like especially the material strength tests. I have a particular question if you cand help me. I work away from home, mostly 4 months away. I want an easy to use 3D printer reliable witch also my wife can use. I have an Anycubic Chiron but is not very consistent. I was thinking about Bambu Lab x1 Carbon (without AMS system) or Prusa i3 mk3S+. What you think. Thank you .

This will make 3 d printing even more mainstream, the LiDAR part is awesome, looks like excellent job, the time to start if it reduces failure will be great

Great details. I was trying to see where the WiFi signal reception on this machine is as after updating the latest firmware, my x1c suddenly can't find any WiFi networks, even a reset doesn't help.

Mine is shipping today. I already have a mk3s+. I'm excited for core xy, all metal hot end and the enclosure that i'll be able to isolate and dampen sound from. I don't care about the fastest speed but 2x faster than prusa at the same quality, I think thats worth it alone. The prusa is 100% awesome but it is an aging platform and IMO, I'm not happy with the 3 linear bearing system on the y axis. The "frog plate" loves to give off this annoying frequency if the print is too far from the center of the bed. small issue but im in the same room and it loves to resonate with my headphones. Thank you Murphy's Law. I've priced parts for a custom printer build and the precision ball screws i'd use cost 700$ alone... ramble over. Just my thoughts.

This is the kind of printer you should get for prusa prices. Sorry but the industry has caught up. I can get a sovol sv06 for $300. Even less when onsale. A prusa clone. 1000k+ for a prusa just isn’t it anymore.

Mach weiter so!!!

Was kannst Du da raten?

Danke vielmals!

"not a single print release from the base" - curious, and you did not mention glue a single time.
I've heard other reviewers that prints released due to forgetting to glue...
Was hoping a heated bed eliminates the need of glue.
