Wow, I’m so impressed with your talented and precise work. You, sir, are not only nimble of fingers but also have a gift of conveying helpful information about each watch. Even though I’ll never be attempting to repair or even open a watch, I’m fascinated. I’m almost 80 years old and I found your channel and just discovered that my 50 year old son is also a big fan of yours. I can’t believe he actually texted me the other day and said, “Hey, Mom, have you seen this one?” Unbelievable! Thanks from mother and son in PA.
ОтветитьAre the older cyclops adhered to the crystal, like current ones, or is it a part of the crystal itself?
ОтветитьFor those of you who don't know, relatively new and non-limited edition watches it's fine to finish the case and it won't decrease the value. If he were to refinish this one, however, it'd really decrease the sale price. A Pan Am Rolex from the 50's should look rough. lol.
ОтветитьHow much do you charge the customer for the service.
Ответитьyour gaining a follower not because your content is amazing but because you have a MTG mouse pad
ОтветитьGorgeous work. I appreciate your method of cleaning it up while retaining the spirit of the watch and previous owner
ОтветитьMaybe I am being to anal but for a watch so valuable surely you would want to be using plastic screwdrivers as I noticed a few little scratches being made throughout the restoration. Amazing work and love watching your videos but just something that crossed my mind.
ОтветитьFavorite mtg commentator, and now I learn he restores watches???????????? super cool
ОтветитьThe world's most talkative man! A disc jockey?
ОтветитьClass buddy
ОтветитьHow Long u spend and how much $ was the complete service including spare parts? Realy great Work!
ОтветитьHi there I am from India my grandfather used to have a HMT watch. Can you restore it?
ОтветитьGreat vid.....100k ?
ОтветитьReally awesome….enjoyable…
ОтветитьAmazing restoration. My husband would have a jar of extra parts , bewildered why he couldn’t get it to work .great job .
ОтветитьThis is amazing, I think I’ve found a new interest.
ОтветитьDon't know why but I enjoyed soo much watching you work! Brilliant stuff! Congrats! Cheers from the central mountains of Portugal!
ОтветитьI’m wearing this watch right now… (no Bakelite, unfortunately. Aftermarket parts have been used. Original jubilee, but very stretched out from my grandfather’s giant wrist) 1.) should I be worried about radiation poisoning!? 2.) would you be interested in fixing it!? No one (trustworthy) in my area will touch it.
ОтветитьJust awesome!
ОтветитьDoesn’t it hurt the price if a non Rolex certified shop does any restoration or fixes on the watch? I could be wrong, but just wondering.
ОтветитьCurious to know why you didn’t pressure test the case?
ОтветитьYa, a watch..holy crap... I was lost..
ОтветитьI'm exhausted.
ОтветитьI'm most surprised by how people inflate their value. Buddy, if you've got the skills, it doesn't matter whether you're fixing a Chinese or an original mechanism. But asking for $100,000 is just ridiculous—it feels like you're claiming to have done something no one else can replicate. In reality, for a professional, it's not about the numbers but about the ability to do a quality job.
ОтветитьBeautiful work
ОтветитьI loved watching this, but couldn’t help thinking- and please don’t take any offence.
Wouldn’t it have been better to have this restoration completed by Rolex?
A vintage Ferrari gets sent back to Maranello and the value increases.
I’m not suggesting that you didn’t do a fantastic job.
Wouldn’t a full restoration from Rolex increase the value significantly?
Genuinely curious.
A: Stoked to see this restoration
B: Love the MTG playmat
Just imagine what would've happened if Rolex did the service. Every time you even looked at the bakerlite bezel insert my heart skipped a few beats. I was praying for no breaks and was rewarded by being a witness to your masterful work Marshall.
Ответитьi'm not into watch making but your content just kept me glued on my chair to finish this awesome video.
and your calming(radio jock) voice adds a bonus.
cheers!
I have a watch that needs fixing. Its not a Rolex but its a Elgin pocket watch that was made in 1899.Not working at the moment and too scared to take it into a repair shop. Might make a good video
ОтветитьDo you play magic too? Or do you just use the playmats?
ОтветитьI wonder how much he originally paid for it back then.
Ответитьtime flew by watching this ... unreal, I loved this !
ОтветитьWhat is that kind of watch worth?
Ответитьit's important to restore old rolex watches since rolex decided to not sell watches anymore
ОтветитьIt gave me so much anxiety when you were pulling it apart but you seemed to know exactly how to put it back together! Amazing
ОтветитьMarshall, you’re an amazing watch restorer. Your encouragement for others to acquire the hobby was refreshing but I was already lost after you removed the back 🤪
ОтветитьHypnotic
Ответитьboy you are so very talented just amazing to watch you work
ОтветитьCame here for a watch repair. Stayed for amount of knowledge you have.
ОтветитьAfter 6th screw I wouldn’t get it back together.
Ответитьwhy didn't you clean the hands
ОтветитьHow on earth do you keep all those pieces straight, without mixing them up?? Absolutely love the video
