Les is so good at finding bait that some might say hes a "master" baiter.
Wonder how many times hes pulled it on these "adventures" 😂😂😂
To this day my favorite episode and moment of SurvivorMan. Once he reels in that second fish and he's at a loss for words just says it all.
ОтветитьI keep a 9v battery and a steel wool pad in my bag for this
ОтветитьMaybe these “researchers “ from around the world can hang back and just read books, watch videos instead of pretending they’re discovering something new.😂🤷🏽♂️
ОтветитьI would go crazy. I would have to have books to read, or something. 😅
ОтветитьSo fake
Ответитьalways makes me happy seeing the joy on les face when he lands a fish
ОтветитьBest episode by far
ОтветитьChar the size of salmon.
ОтветитьWho else here would choose surviving in an arctic tundra rather than hot, humid jungle or island?
ОтветитьI really enjoy your videos, but I never see you hunting to survive. You fish a lot. How come you never hunt ????
ОтветитьHis drying fish got all wet.
ОтветитьTime for Less to...Hunker Down.
ОтветитьI was thinking of that fish myself.
ОтветитьNice video. Most sea gulls don't have a sense of smell.. they hunt by sight. Raw fish is sashimi not sushi.
ОтветитьAmazing ep
ОтветитьThat's one of the luckiest hits I've ever seen a person get fishing, ever. God, what a feast.
ОтветитьDid you get huge tapeworms from raw fish?
ОтветитьSo steel wool turns to rust in a day or so after opening but you found perfect out of the box steel wool on the beach in the artic then a canoe and ore just appears. OK.
ОтветитьYou body works harder to digest raw food, not to mention risk of parasites lmao
ОтветитьOnce a fish has bitten you really need to keep that rod upright or you risk losing the catch.
ОтветитьI was about 12 when you first graced my TV screen and I've always loved your show. I'm rewatching it all now while I'm away from home, but I'll probably watch them all again with my son when I get home soon.
ОтветитьHe keeps saying refuse but that's not the word, refuge is shelter. Refuse means decline or reject.
ОтветитьEvery summer I go hiking and spearfishing in arctic norway for a month or more living off a bag of rice, a bag of onions, some lemons and garlic and whatever I catch of gather for dinner. I never had any real shortage of seafood there but I completely understand Les’ joy of a catch that is sure to hit that spot with the wind and rain eating at you much of the time. Ironically I consider mackerel a bit of a score. They’re not always the easiest to get in a position to spear but if all you eat all the time is mostly white fish, then a fat mackerel feels like a pork chop by comparison due to the firmness of the meat and the fat content. Whether you like the taste or not you can literally feel the body going “yup thanks I’ll take more of that” it’s such an energy boost and puts the heat back in your bones. Urchin or brown crab are great for energy too but you don’t get the fat boost, they’re more like drinking a can of coffee. Sadly I only rarely come across salmon or the occasional proper size trout, which are nice fatty fish too. You have to eat a lot of cod or pollock by comparison to catch up to that in terms of calories. I usually gut the fish in the water by the beach on my return, so the messiest part of the job is done with, and leave the offal in the water and that certainly tends to cultivate a reliable following of sea gulls, especially if you stay in the same spot for a few days, may even draw in the occasional sea otter.
ОтветитьThe arctic tundra is one helluva drug
ОтветитьClose your mouth when you eat Les!
ОтветитьCmon people he lost 10 lbs every show in 1 week imagine if he was there for 1 month he would be dead i know the bush better than him
ОтветитьThe theme song was awful you aint no indian
ОтветитьLes you are not good at this and never were in a month you would starve to death you never find anything to eat
ОтветитьYou eat that fish, Les. You deserve it.
Ответитьdude got misted and called the rescue smh
ОтветитьWes you're never alone you've got us
All envious
I wanna see you in -50 c man. Come on man don’t be chicken.
ОтветитьNice ahh
ОтветитьThis man is too pompous and arrogant goodbye eay
ОтветитьIt's make me happy to watch you catch fish Les
ОтветитьI wonder why Les was using some Walmart Winchester knife this time around.
ОтветитьWould you rather try to sleep in this type environment? Or in a rainforest, on the ground? Where it may not be cold, but you have insects crawling all over you and biting you constantly?
Ответитьfavourite hands down!
ОтветитьIove the show and your adventures, but how long does it take to recover, low food and exposed to the elements before you are ready to do the next one?
ОтветитьThis is one of my all time favorite episodes.
ОтветитьWatching Les almost starve is pretty hard. Hearing his voice explain how he almost didn't go fishing, and then trailing off into laughter.. dude was absolutley famished.
Ответитьthe traditional burnable plant he picks is called white arctic mountain heather. they really do burn amazingly, theyre FULL of resin
ОтветитьI prefer fish vagina , the heart and liver aren't as sweet .
ОтветитьThis is forever my favorite episode. I’m drawn back to it time and time again year after year. Thank you Les for the years of challenging missions and entertainment you’ve provided us. 🙏🏼
