Jordan is the GOAT and Lebron isn’t for the following 3 reasons:

1. Jordan was finals MVP for all 6 of his championships,
2. Jordan is considered the GOAT by the majority of his peers,
3. Jordan has never expressed he is the GOAT

A three-peat is required to even be in the conversation. Playing for a long time and breaking records from playing a shit ton more games do not make someone great. What makes them great is winning. Dominate and win. At the end of the day, how many of those seasons led to a win? How many seasons did you dominate? How well did you defend that championship? No three-peat? No goat.

What he has to do? Well for one, he should stop talking for him self that he is a GOAT.... And even then he will still be behind Wilt, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and MJ. And it remains to be seen whether he will be behind the joker also when this one finishes his career.

A goat never choke never flops never cheat.
His play defines him and the impact he has when he's on court.
James never have that.
One more thing if James can beat Jordan's achievements on or before 11 seasons then I would say we have a goat in town.
James is now 21 seasons and still can't beat jordan and still team toxic as ever main reason why Kyrie wanted to be trade as soon as possible and insulting james as LeGm and also the reason why the warriors don't want him even if he wanted so badly to play with steph.
He is only goat i know that most nba teams dont want.

List of All-Stars that Lebron has played with: Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Mo Williams, Chris Bosh, Dwayne Wade, Kevin Love, Kyrie Irving, Anthony Davis, Russell Westbrook, Ray Allen, Rajon Rondo…10 Total All-Stars

List of All-Stars that MJ played with: Scottie Pippen…just one All-Star

And they still say Lebron needs more help 🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️

for me for lebron speaks also, that he got his rings for 3 different teams, other like mike. also that he had 10 finals in a row. just one player who is longer dominant, than the warriors dynasty. crazy if you think about that!

I think the only way LeBron can catch Jordan is if he wins 2 more finals. I agree with you that rings aren't everything but it's still one of the biggest things to take into account. Jordan has the greatest per game stats of all time. LeBron has the greatest all-time career stats. So you could argue either way which is better, the longevity of LeBron or the shorter but more dominant career of Jordan. The thing that clearly separates them though (and is the tie-breaker) is the finals and finals MVPs. If LeBron can match the 6 then we have an even debate and at that point I would crown LeBron just because the longevity to me would be more impressive.

Come on bro Micheal Jordan is the undisputed GOAT the thing is he average 30ppg back when it was a lot harder to score points in a game. he also has never choked in the playoffs and don't get me wrong LeBron James has had a lot of great playoff performances but there have been times where he has not shown up when it matters the most the 2007 and 2011 come to mind. Let's not forget that Jordan has accomplished more in 15 years then LeBron has in 20+years. Let's be honest if Micheal Jordan had the longevity that LeBron James has then he would shatter the all time scoring record and Let's not forget LeBron had a head start he came to the NBA straight outta highschool while Jordan had to play 3 years in college. LeBron James played in a weak ass Eastern Conference for most of his career while Jordan had a significantly harder road to the finals. And if you say that being 4-6 is more impressive then going 6-0 you are a damn liar. Jordan won all his championships with one team and only had 1 true Hall of Famer on his team which was Scottie Pippen while LeBron had to build superteams in order to get his rings he had Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh, Kyrie Irving, Kevin Love, and Antony Davis that's 5 Hall of Fame worthy players.
It's not even close Jordan was, is, and will always be the GOAT.

I think about it like this: who would win in a 1v1 then we see who the overall better player is not cuz of states cuz of if they won or lost then consider the amount of rings or mvps they have and maybe we could see who the goat is (my sweet and glorious king la boo boo Lebron james

Who’s the best 1v1 player? After watching Kareem vs Dr J, or MJ vs Shaq, it’s clear it’s the big men that would dominate in 1v1. So how would a Shaq vs Tim Duncan look like? David Robinson vs LeBron?

Personally, I think if you take the start time factor into, Lebron's case gets stronger. He stepped into the league as a highschool player and was immediately a top player. That being said you take those first 3 years of numbers out(when Jordan was developing in college comparatively) and those career averages swing to LeBron. So you might give Jordan more years, but his 18-21 numbers drag his averages down, or vice versa and LeBron gets a nice bump.

The problem you have is that the game is now completely different. Le Bron scores from very easy plays that have near zero oposition. Mike was at war most of his career! Jordan will always be the GOAT unless the game changes back and someone can achieve more than what he did in that type of game.

The problem with the G.O.A.T. debate is there are different definitions for "Greatest Of All Time". This video focused on the word "Greatest" and what that means.
I think the focus should be "All Time". There is no argument that Michael Jordan was the greatest of HIS time and LeBron was the greatest of HIS time. But if you could pluck any player from any time, and have them play each other, who would be the greatest?

I think, for me, the biggest factor is that as a European I can say I know almost nothing about LeBron, he just hasn't had an impact in my home country. Jordan on the other hand had a huge impact here, when basketball season starts shops here in Ireland are selling bulls gear because of Jordan, their not selling gear for what ever team LeBron is part of. LeBron may be a living legend but he won't have the kind of global impact Jordan had.

I don’t really follow basketball all that much, however I do take an interest in this debate and am fairly knowledgeable on many things.
To put in simply, stats don’t lie, Lebron is infact the greatest of all time.
To put in in other terms it’s sorta like if I beat tiger woods in 2 seasons of golf, but he comes in second then wins 4 in a row I can’t be considered the goat. Lebron is not only dominant in his sport like Michael was but he’s done it for longer without dropping off a cliff in his abilities. You could be the best player in a season but if you can’t sustain it over multiple you can’t be the best. Plain and simple.
