Your stance (and your mom's stance) on food... finally I heard someone say it. I've been following several minimalist channels, but uptil now, I only heard You talk about healthy and nutritious diet at all cost. Everything can be cheap... but the way you treat your body should never be cheap (I'm not only talking about 'cheap' in terms of money. Your body and your health are the only things you truly 'have').
ОтветитьI love how you can pick berries from the park in Germany
ОтветитьHey! Many thanks for the video and sharing your lessons. I have just moved for a job which provides cheap staff accomodation and meals provided everyday, so I am saving up so much money, however even now I see that I would rather have more TIME. Can I ask you some questions? How old are you? I am 23 and looking at getting my EU citizenship before choosing a course to study in EU. Are you still glad you chose computer science? Do you think you could have this lifestyle with any major? And lastly before I exasperate you please tell me what other countries you thought about before Gemany? :)
All I want is to work part time and my full time job to be self actualisation and growth of character mind body and spirit <3 For some like you that may be creative works, nature.. for me it would be gym, martial arts, yoga and physical hobbies :)
For a part time job, that's alot of money😐 I worked 5.25days weekly and got roughly the same amount🥴
ОтветитьI love you
ОтветитьYou are so right with the food idea. It is so important to not skimp on food for the health of our bodies.
ОтветитьLove this...I want to spend the most on healthy foods as well. I am trying to transition into working for myself. I am tired of trading my time for money.
ОтветитьYour an angel living the best life
Ответить5 years ago I changed from working 72 hours a week to taking 2 part-time positions (2 days per week each) in my career field. I take home about $1500-1600 euro (based on current exchange, I live in Canada) to support my family on per month. I have 3 days a week to do my own thing. I am much, much older than you and the main financial support for my family, so I came to the realization that time is more important than creature comforts later in life....
ОтветитьPart Time with Unemployment Compensation to make up wages, and hours is your wisest path if your looking to enjoy life.
If you add up the numbers it comes out around $2,100 a month part time with UB compensation. I was making $26 an hour at my last job, Medical field, and was only getting about 52 hours every two weeks, which came out to $2,100. If you calculate out a full time employee at 40hrs a week on minimum wage it comes out to $2,100 roughly.
So as you can see it’s not about money. It’s about LIFE. Having 4 days off to live while still in your youth is priceless, and you don’t have to deal with all the B.S. while in those high paying jobs. You think your getting more, and you are a little but it’s still not worth losing the youthfulness of your life for pretty much the same amount if you part time UB compensate.
Tax brackets go up as well. So the more you make the more they take. Lol.
This is such a beautiful video; I come back to it a couple times per year. Guess who is in school for computer science ;) with the goal of working entirely remotely and also only part time. YOU were the one who inspired me to take actionable steps toward achieving a lifestyle that was meant for me. Thank you 🖤
Ответить👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍
ОтветитьWhy not proud of taking computer science? I dont get it.
ОтветитьHelpful. This is one of my favorite videos. I can't wait to be able to work part-time ☺️
ОтветитьI LOVE the minimalist lifestyle… so refreshing and free.
ОтветитьHello Darling
ОтветитьI want to gain money to live simple that's my vision.
ОтветитьThis video is exactly what I been looking for 🇩🇪 thx so much
ОтветитьI want to join the club
ОтветитьI just.. mabye it’s cause I’m a American and healthcare and everything cost extra here but how are people doing this and affording things?? Like even with a full time job everything is so expensive and it’s hard already. How are people affording this???? 😭
ОтветитьI work & can support my lifestyle working 3 days a week, I love it! I finally feel like I have a work/life balance.
ОтветитьAfter all we live once
ОтветитьI miss living in Germany! I lived there from June 2006 to November 2007! I hope to move back to Germany someday!
ОтветитьHow'd I know the first step she was gonna say to take was moving to a r a c I s t white supremacist nation that is well known for their hostility to people with brown skin. lmao. I'll go find a better video that is more realistic for the global majority and not the global minority. White women really are fkng clueless and annoying.
ОтветитьAbsolutely working full-time is robbing our life away part time is much better if you just lower expenses
That way we can use our free time to enjoy life and make money in our own ways
If I lived in Germany (Berlin) I would need to go no where else. I lived there for 3 months and left my heart there. edit...now after watching....you are my hero
Ответить"The love of money is the root of all evil" - i see more and more how this is true. It doesnt say money is evil, but the "love" of money
ОтветитьWent from 40 hrs. to 32 and my manager keeps asking me if I'm good at 32. YES I keep responding😂
ОтветитьCoca cola is poison..not really nice food 😊..ditch the poisonn drink carbonated water with a few drops 9f organic lemon. Tastes real good and 1000% healthier
ОтветитьI enjoyed your video and I love who you are and simple. People like are rare and you are amazing ❤❤❤
ОтветитьJust found this. I can't believe how so many are okay with working full time their entire life!! Thank you for this.
ОтветитьI would love to work part time but paying rent seems to make it impossible for me to drop my hours. How do you afford rent and everything else on part time hours? what type of job do you have for that kind of flexibility in your hours?
ОтветитьStep 1: parents with pockets
ОтветитьYou should be proud!
ОтветитьI've always said "if you have a roof over your head, some nice warm food and a good book you don't need ANYTHING else". I aspire to live like that. Don't care about luxuries. Connection with your inner self and nature doesn't cost money. I'm so glad I found your channel❤
ОтветитьI'm curious about your part-time job. How are you able to work part-time as a software engineer? Are you a freelancer? I would love to hear more about that. Whenever I hear "part-time" work I always imagine some low-paying service or labor job. I would love to learn about other opportunities in the part-time world
ОтветитьI'm 27 and have been working super hard since finishing uni at at 21. Instead of buying a nice house, I took out a mortgage on a humble 1 bedroom apartment in a lower-middle class suburb near a train station that takes 20 mins to get to work. I'll pay the mortgage off by the time I'm 30. Then I want to either stay and work part time or sell it and buy a small house in a small town then find a part time job just to pay the bills. All the money in the world won't buy me more time.
ОтветитьFirstly let me say you have a beautiful stare ! So in winter time i have less work and I've had an extremely expensive vehicle issue , so no vehicle. I find i am able to use my day for myself. I can really focus on exercise , weightlifting, cooking good simple food, exploring nature etc. Then when my work picks up in the spring the 5-6 work days start , 8 or 9 hours a day is madness. Im really starting to see through the 5 day work day week we are all conditioned/brainwashed into.
ОтветитьI am so done with work life n no balance and corporates treating us like slaves with no life.
ОтветитьYour story is really encouraging me, thank you for sharing!❣
ОтветитьHate to be an ass here, but how much money does your boyfriend and or dates spend on you?
ОтветитьThank You for your honesty and for sharing the experiences which bring you such JOY. Greetings from Ontario, Canada.
ОтветитьI work 50 hours a week, and if I lose my current apartment I’ll be out on the street.
ОтветитьHi Antonia, so glad I stumbled upon your site. I'm also a minimalist and I enjoy your philosophy that less is more. Simple but meaningful is how I try to model my life as well. I also LOVE the idea of part-time work to support yourself so you can have the ultimate freedom to design your life. This video is 4 years old now. What new insight or wisdom have you gained since then about life, minimalism, simplicity, etc? I'd love to hear your thoughts.
ОтветитьI have two advice here.
1. With an increasing salary the tax ratio goes up as well. Calculate the sweet spot for you.
2. Contrary to what I've just said, work half a day more and invest it into a broad index fund. Over time, you accumulate more and more money that eventually gives you even more time.
Good luck doing that in the Biden/Harris world we live in now.
ОтветитьYou're really beautiful, I truly mean that
ОтветитьWhat about waiting for trains and buses all the time thats a lot of time
Ответить
