Thank you!
Ответитьthank you
ОтветитьA 9th grade honors bio student, sitting here watching a 6 year old video of animated amoebas explain to me what my teacher failed to teach. She gives us packets and doesn’t actually give us information to help us know how to fill the packets and then random drops impossible graded checkpoints, due dates on those packets at the worst possible time, and then a last minute assessment I don’t know how to study for! So thank you amoeba sisters for being better than my teacher ever could

Anyway nice class❤
Why did i understand nothing 😭
ОтветитьMost important things i learned from this video -
1 - something revolutionary like anti wrinkle laundry spray exists
2-protein structures and folding
GenBio exam tomorrow HAHAHAH🤧
ОтветитьLoved it
ОтветитьI come from the future, and we have AI that unfolds that shit
ОтветитьThanks so much, God bless you guys!
ОтветитьWho here is watching this in 2024
Ответитьfirst saw the amoeba sisters back in 2017 as a little 7th grader to learn now I am watching as an sophomore in college in 2024 to reinforce topics or stuff I need simple I have A bio exam in two weeks so using it to study along with other stuff
ОтветитьLove the atla reference
Ответитьlove you bro
ОтветитьAm I a college student watching these for my bio exam? yes... yes I am
ОтветитьAwesome!

Ответитьalmost 50 years old in A&P 1 and this is what helps me survive quizzes and tests. I can't thank you enough. I started watching this with my daughter for science class... and well, here I am.
ОтветитьI am a first year student, and I enjoy watching these colourful, animated video 😅
ОтветитьI am getting distracted by the cuteness of the proteins 😭
ОтветитьThank you for getting me through bio class in college. You made scary looking concept actually enjoyable to learn:)
Ответитьme a 15 year old watching this chanell since 7th grade cause it’s the only one that helps me
Ответитьthank u i was cooked for my ap bio quiz
ОтветитьThis was helpful thank you
ОтветитьI hate school 😒
ОтветитьChaperonins are so cutee!!!
ОтветитьWatched: Primary structure-
Protein shape - > protein folding
Amino acids ( monomer of protein)
Carboxyl group
R group (Side Chain)
Amino acid group
Seconday structure-
Foldings
Hydrogen bonds that can bond to an oxygen on another amino acid
Tertariy structure-
3d shape
R groups or side chains it can vary and define the amino acids and make them behave a certain way.
Hydrophilic likes water
Hydrophobic doesnt like water
Hydrophilic hangs on the outside
Hydrophobic hanges on the inside
Quarterny structure
Not in all proteins
Chaperonins
Some proteins are made up of more than one chain, or subunit. The quaternary structure is how these multiple chains come together and arrange themselves to form the final functional protein.
Each protein has an ideal temp for fuctuioning, if the protein deals with something thats not in their temp range it can denature the protein causing it to mess with the other levels of protein structures, something it can be reversible and sometimes its not.
As a first-year college student who has been watching Amoeba Sisters for years... I just want to say thank you. You guys have turned science from a scary, unapproachable topic to something that I actually really enjoy now. I used to feel like science was too hard and that I wasn't capable of doing it beyond high school, but now I'm a biology major at one of the top schools in the midwest. And I'm still watching your videos to help me study. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
