Great video! As someone who built their PC a couple years ago, and DIDN'T make a separate partition for my OS, would it be possible to separate all my programs from the OS on my C: drive? And could you possibly make a tutorial video about that?
ОтветитьHe says ubtil everything is ftb motherboards
ОтветитьWhat's the bloatware remover he uses?
ОтветитьLiterally perfect timing, thank you.
ОтветитьNgl as much as this video is framed as a beginners guide, a solid ammoubt of this advice imo would be overwhelming for actual beginners. Even as a self described intermediate sone of this advice is stuff that only rlly makes me paranoid about my own habits and not stuff I think an actual beginner would need to know really? Like..
seriously in my 21 years of life I've not once actually needed to worry about surge protectors... why would you put so much emphasis on something that is so rare lol. Thst would just scare people.
I setup my pc using this guide, thanks!
ОтветитьWhen installing Windows 11, you can fill in 'admin' in the microsoft account field instead of an emailadress. Then click next and for password press any buttons you like. Press next and you'll get an error message, click next and you can use Windows 11 with a Local account.
ОтветитьHi LTT since you've been doing these type of videos I was wondering if you could post videos about the ame wizard and revi os and atlas os and give your opinion and test it out please I would be very thankful. Cheers.
ОтветитьI’m sure I don’t like James in videos
ОтветитьThis is AWESOME, but I wish it covered Linux too. I built my machine last year and switched to Linux and love it so much. Finding a few replacement programs may take some time, but the amount of free things you can get to help you out is amazing. Anyone not switched to Linux or having a second Linux companion machine by next year is crazy.
note: Don't dual boot, if you must use Windows have a separate Windows machine, or use Windows in a VM, or use Linux in a VM.
Steam OS, Mint, Mint DE, Zorin OS, Tuxedo OS, Debian, and Ubuntu are fantastic to try out. I game on Mint Debian Edition, Zorin is good for old laptops that have strange Windows features. Tuxedo OS and Mint Edge are for more high end computers, and might work well for gaming as well. I have not tried out Steam OS on anything other than Steam Deck.
David looks like he's having so much fun doing the cutaway scenes. Love that guy!
ОтветитьI almost always forget a few of these items each time I set up a new system. This video is a great resource.
ОтветитьI had one time that I build a system for a friend and the PC didn't boot but motherboard gave an error I looked it up and was because the mother bord supports the CPU but didn't have the drivers so I had to Flash the bios with a newer version
ОтветитьSo how many usb sticks do you need and specs on those drives?
ОтветитьIt's nice to see as an experienced builder that there are even some tips for me to learn. And otherwise it also works great as a sanity check!
ОтветитьAmazing. I really appreciate it! Thanks!
Ответитьwhy was it reuploaded instead of the usual refresh in place?
ОтветитьCool !
ОтветитьWish I'd had this available about 10 months ago.
ОтветитьOne thing that seens kinda weird to me is that to setup a pc you need a pc do download drivers and such
ОтветитьI dare linus to give me a new pc🗿
ОтветитьHey! I STRONGLY advise using a usb headphone (if its mic and audio in 1 headphone device)
beacause if you disect 3.5mm jack into 2 seperate jacks (in order to connect mic and audio to the motherboard, provided there are NO combo jacks)
THE AUDIO LEAKS INTO THE MIC SOMEHOW regardless of any software settings (except for volume ofc)
And its thanks to those stupid 1 to 2 audio jacks "seperators"
i dont get the drivers install part . windows dont that on it own anymore ?
ОтветитьCould you do a video on audio drivers, asio, and how to get low latency audio set up for pro audio workflows?
ОтветитьI wish old motherboards can have updated bios for rebar ands nvme boot. I own a 3rd gen intel and i need to mod bios manually😢
ОтветитьI can't enable BitLocker...ugh
ОтветитьFinally finished building it and everything works great. Now the girlfriend is hogging it and playing sims 4 with mods… 😂😂
ОтветитьNot sure how many games... or operating systems, actually, you will fit in a 25GB drive, lol
Ответитьone suggestion, use "people of culture" or "person of culture" instead of "man or lady of culture"
it's way less clunky and at the same time, it's inclusive for non-binary folks.
other than that, no notes. great vid, even helped me fix some annoyances i've had with modern Windows
Who should I get my PC built by??
ОтветитьThe thumbnail for this video doesn't look like a thumbnail for an LTT video, it looks like its from a much smaller channel
Ответитьsell your body until you can afford to buy a used gaming pc, then work on improving your gaming skills, hand-eye coordination, and your karma/eternal soul.
ОтветитьLinus saying 'You did it!' right at the start made them sound like Claptrap from Borderlands.
ОтветитьMotherboards don't have manuals anymore. I build custom PCs as one of my income streams. I have not seen a manual included with a motherboard since AMD's and Intel's respective 500 series chipset boards.
ОтветитьNow do same for NAS to access it from everywhere not only locally at home please
ОтветитьResizable bar isn't supported for OLD gpus or AMD, only from RTX 3060 up until now
ОтветитьWait, do I need to connect my monitor to GPU's HDMI port?
ОтветитьSaw this shortly after I started building a pc, Perfect timing!
ОтветитьIt will be an updated PC and all kinds of work can be done
ОтветитьBoss build me a pc for 30k that will be bd money ok. I live in Bangladesh and your fan ❤️❤️
ОтветитьI can imagine we get other videos for this series:
- How to Upgrade your PC. (Should you?)
- How to Fix your PC. (& Care for)
