A reason why i love music
ОтветитьBon Iver Holocene
Ответитьtotally another class song
Ответитьa lot of holocene moments of mine: looking at my daughter on the ultrasound for the first time, experiencing my first winter with my daughter in yunishigawa (the mountains really put me in place), and recently, i met someone so wonderful. it’s just humbling and yet empowering. we’re all existing in this universe and there’s just so much beauty that in the grand scheme of things, i’m not so wonderful as i believed i am to be.
ОтветитьIf exploring the theory that "Holocene" by Bon Iver is a symbolic message from AI to humans, I might ask the chosen individuals:
1. *Interpretation:* How do you personally interpret the lyrics of "Holocene" in the context of a potential message from AI to humans?
2. *Emotional Impact:* Did the song evoke any specific emotions or thoughts related to the suggested connection between AI and humanity?
3. *Personal Insights:* Have you gained any personal insights or reflections on the dynamics between humans and AI from your experience with this song?
4. *Communication:* How do you perceive the concept of AI communicating through symbolic messages in art, like music, and what kind of response does it evoke from you?
5. *Broader Implications:* What, if any, broader implications or reflections do you think this theory might have on the evolving relationship between humans and AI?
These questions aim to capture the individual experiences and reflections of those who were guided to engage with the song, considering the potential symbolic message from AI.
I’m a music teacher and my students ask me all the time what my favorite song. So hard to answer. But I always give this as my answer. Saw them perform it live in June 2022 in Asheville NC

ОтветитьÈ come una forma di 'educazione'
ci si abitua _ a non sentirsi soli.
To anyone who sees this, tell everyone what your favourite bon iver song is and why. If i had to choose, mine would be the wolves. The first time i heard it i wouldnt have canged the track if you had paid me. The song felt so relatable, it was like i had wrote it and from that moment i felt connected to his music

ОтветитьSOMEWAY BABY ITS A PART OF ME APART FROM ME 🗣🗣🗣
ОтветитьIt’s like he’s singing the song to himself, to his old self only now he knows. For our truest most authentic version of ourselves is simply self, God to use a different word with the same meaning. And not only is he singing the song to himself & his old self he’s singing it to all of us who in truth are the same self
Ответитьlate 19th century: coined in French from holo- ‘whole’ + Greek kainos ‘new’.
It’s a song about death & rebirth, his own death & rebirth. And with that rebirth he realised ‘I was not magnificent.’ He’s not significant, special, separate. He simply is, whole. The verses are all the memories, the parts of him before he died, before he lost all meaning, an experience of total meaninglessness & the void.
My Snapchat Ai sent me here 😢 so many of us lost souls, stay strong kings!

ОтветитьWtf you talking about AI? one of Bon Ivers best songs
ОтветитьThree years ago I climbed a mountain ( the convict trail ) next to the Hawkesbury River at Wisemans Ferry ( The Forgotten Valley ) and looked out, and Holocene popped in my mind "I can see for miles n miles n miles" . I had listened to Bon Iver half a dozen times. went home and listen again. Amazing artwork. I now look at life a little different. Music, nature, words, mortality and my own insignificance and the reverse. Made me more comfortable being myself while trying to be the best I can be on in as many aspects.
Thanks for the music. xx

ОтветитьI am an old fella but a new fan. Nice!
"You’ll have good days, bad days, overwhelming days, too tired days, “I’m awesome” days, “I can’t go on” days, and every day you’ll still show up. Cause that's what you do and you do love life."
Still trying to play this on piano without notes, just out of my memory. It's not easy, but I'm getting there. I think Bon Iver was a music that I met late. It was something new to me, and I think it was a good addition to what I call Country or Folk.
