This PS5 New HDMI Setting Has Better Performance

My tv have HDMI 1 port,HDMI 2 and HDMI 3 ,but don't have 2.1 can I somehow get 2.1 without buying new tv

question....so i had it where if i was watching tv which is input #1 on mine,and i wanted to play my ps5 i just hit the ps5 button on controller and the ps5 would turn on and automatically switch to my ps5 input #3 and was ready to play....and when i would power off my ps5 it would automatically switch back to my tv on input 1.....now all of a sudden after playing last night(i dont know if i shut it off wrong or whateva lol)... but now when i hit the ps5 button on my controller it turns on my ps5 as normal but it dont automatically switch to my ps5 input 3 and just stays on tv input 1.....how do i get it back to where it automatically switches to ps5 input as it did before?....appreciate any help how to fix this issue...thanks

So what if we have a monitor with 120hz or 60hz and the ALLM and VRR options aren't available on them, and it still has delay (Newer model monitors too that have 0 input delay when my pc is hooked up to them. Just my ps5 is having the issue)

I have this issue where ps4 backward compatible games are always blurry and or pixelated no matter what resolution i use . very noticeable on RDR2 and monster hunter world ... nobody seems to have info on this exact issue or maybe most people dont notice ...

It just gives me the impression that its a scaling or AA issue zith ps4 backward compatible games .
i have a 1440p 60hz monitor , no HDR enabled at the moment because of the capture card thats its runs trough . but even without the capture card it gives me this blurry image with different cables , different resolutions .
Native ps5m games are fine but this is rendering all ps4 BC games as good as unplayable for me

I also have a Sony TV... I have the 85" X900H. I noticed if you use VRR it disables the local dimming zones on HDR. You can use both at the same time. Which do you think benefits most games, VVR or Local Dimming for HDR. I noticed on Hogwarts Legacy, it looks WAY better with VRR turned OFF and Local Dimming ON.

I have the LG C2 but will definitely be updating to c4 by next year..It's one of the best gaming TVs out. It works for both G and N-sync which other TVs like Samsung and Sony claim to be gaming TVs but aren't like the LG.

Have question tested the ps5 hdmi and other random hdmi and I felt the random hdmi better and I felt better response time too when moving around ?

Enough successfully quartinated video to see appropriate binding due to Hindi movie based backgrounds that better functioning source due to construction of web design.

Yes that’s not what that means when it says your TV doesn’t support ALM it means your TV doesn’t support the PlayStation fives ability to turn it on and off that’s all it means yeah it doesn’t have anything to do with 120 Hz 4K either have to do with low latency mode while gaming and play the sea input lag is a problem for any resolution file at Kim like I said do you have been able to deal with this car at least a decade all that Siri does is tells your PlayStation to turn it on and off as needed and your TV has to have the additional hardware built-in and the programming and its firmware to allow the waystation to turn it on and off does it mean your TV doesn’t have the ability to have a low latency import

Your TV doesn’t have the support a LLM your TV almost certainly already supports what’s called game mode which does the same thing you simply turn it on on the TV

Why wouldn’t you simply have the mode turned on all the time seriously this is nothing impressive or new TVs have had this functionality for a decade at least why wouldn’t you already have it turned on for your console

If you stream and have el gato capture card it won’t work

When I active vrr my Tv it will start loosing connection with the hdmi

Not sure if others have mentioned but in the clip you use to show an hdmi 2.1 that isn't the provided Sony one is not a Ultra High Speed HDMI 2.1 cable, it's a High Speed HDMI 2.0a one. I'm not sure why the Sony one doesn't say "ultra high speed" like the industry standard suggests but it should to help users finds the correct replacment that offers the same features.

VRR also forces Gaming Mode, so leaving ALLM to off will not allow you additional settings.

I set my TV setting to vivid mode and the ALLM still gave me significant less input lag so im glad I didn't need to stay stuck to washed out colors on game mode 😅

PS5 is dead. Sony have screwed up this generation.

Also make sure you don’t have the gen 1 PSVR hooked up. Was having issues with hdmi on my PS5 then realized it was the old processing box in the chain.
