Man this could be my version of the saddest anime of all time. I had mixed feeling while watching it. Feel sad for the story but when I remember that Japan invaded my country in 1940s they did worst to my people. Made me even sadder. Not to mention that this was made based on real life story.

Ahem....where's the nod to Pokemon Movie when Ash turns into stone and Pikachu starts bawling tears? That movie broke me as a kid 😄

- Another forsaken one. Episode 7. Babylon watchers know what the fuck I’m talking about. Had to go to Reddit to make sure I wasn’t suffering alone.
- Knowing what had to happen after Kusube kissed Okabe. She mentioned that a kissing experience was stored in the hippocampus which makes it harder for them to inevitably forget each other.
- When Nunnally realized what Lelouch did and cried that she really only needed him. Made me really wonder if this whole thing was worth it.
- Nanachi saying goodbye to Mitty. Onions. The goddamn onions.
- Didn’t really mind when fireboi got donuted but felt something when Tanjiro told Akaza he was a coward and that the slayers were the ones with honor to fight at night at the demons’ advantage.
- Ok I’m not actually done w OP and I’m aware there are tons of tear jerking moments but hear me out. The fking whale’s backstory about waiting for the last 50 years for its crew to come back had me GOING

Erased isn't my "saddest anime," but that one scene is the saddest single scene of any anime I've ever seen. Nothing has ever broken my heart in such a remarkably short amount of time the same way.

For me it was when Kamina joked "When did you get so tall?" during the reunion. It was just such a genuine thing it tugged at my heartstrings knowing he wasn't physically there to see his little buddy grow up.

I cried when I watched the dead of Nagisa it was a heartbroken moment and I understood the depression of Tomoya. Then he had a new opportunity to be happy with his daughter Uchio but suddenly the author decided to increase the pain of Tomoya with Uchio dying in her father's arms. At that point I felt he had no reason to continue living. That emptiness made me cry a lot. To me that moment was the saddest in anime, losing your only child after having lost your wife 💔 😢 😔
