Point 2, 3 and 6
ОтветитьI think practice, practice, practice will help me the most
ОтветитьI love you and your work I appreciate ❤️ you so much love from india
ОтветитьQuite educative educative and informative. Am a fan of practicing like crazy. The dictum that practice makes perfect should be ones guiding principle in whatever he is doing. whatever
ОтветитьLove this so much.
Thank you. 😊❤️😊
I have speech competition tomorrow but I am too scared . I wasn't ready to join in that. But my teacher said to join . At least for my teacher, I should speak well.
ОтветитьGreat tips. I have stumbled upon several of these points through my own experiences. I am so glad "practice like crazy" is top of the list because my colleagues look at me like I'm crazy when I request 8 hours to rehearse a standard 45-minute presentation.
The tip to visualize the first 30 seconds as all positive I hadn't thought of. This is fantastic advice. Managing that anxiety peak (30 seconds before the start until 30 seconds after) is really crucial for me.
Practice like crazy
ОтветитьThank you Alex for sharing! Great tips. To answer the question about which of the 6 tips resonate the most, I would say there are four that I currently practice and two I will adopt...
- I currently practice #1, #2, #3 and #6.
- I will implement #4 and 5.
Overall - I think #1 is the most important of the 6. I have a big townhall presentation coming up soon and I am putting a lot of focus on #1 now.
All the tips are great, but the first one is pure gold. Thank you!
ОтветитьI have to present my thesis proposal next week, and I'm nervous like crazy. Obviously, it's natural for everyone to feel this (the video here is for the average person), but for me as a very shy person and who has social phobia, I'm having a hard time at the moment , expecting what a bad presentation I'm going to have 😭
I need some advices ..
Once again 5, "reducing uncertainty reduces anxiety." is really eye opening advice.
ОтветитьGreat tips, thank you for sharing :)
ОтветитьI'm here after giving a really bad presentation and I feel ashamed of myself cause I wasn't able to even finish a single paragraph and that Professor really broke my flow as he interrupted me and after that I was stuck on single word and was stuttering.
HELP I want to be as fluent as I'm alone 😔😔
I gave a presentation last week in front of the executive and senior leadership team for a large fortune 500 company. Your videos completely reframed my mindset. It completely eliminated the anxiety spikes I had felt before. A big thank you. You are making a difference.
ОтветитьThanks for your tips. I will apply them to my thesis presentation, hopefully, the results will live up to my expectations
Ответитьsizing up the room is the best tip for me. It just sucks having to wait four hours during an event before presenting.
ОтветитьTable topics in toastmasters!? Haha! It puts you off guard
ОтветитьI have such a fear publically speaking but the times I've had success is when I practiced. We have round table discussions at work and I get sooo nervous and feel like I bomb every time I do it while everyone is a rockstar in those meetings. I'm really trying to conquer this fear.
ОтветитьAre you a physician?😊
Ответитьnumber 6 wow! never thought of that, i always in nose out mouth - makes sense alex, god bless u
ОтветитьThank you. I really needed to hear this. I have a presentation in 3 hours and I feel much more confident.🙏
ОтветитьI have to write a speech
ОтветитьDeep breathing. I always say this in my mind, “smell the flowers, blow out the candles.” It helps to create sangfroid and refocus yourself. Like a breathing mantra.
“Smell the flowers, blow out the candles”
for me visualizing myself doing well in the beginning i think will help me very much. i have a 5 min presentation in bible class this week and your tips and videos have been very helpful!!
ОтветитьThank you. Proffessor . I enjoy the video . Blessings here from sri lanka 🇱🇰 🌷🙏
ОтветитьThanks for the tips Alex
ОтветитьThanks on these tips! Quick and direct to the point.
ОтветитьLovely information ..walking the room ..hope I can make a presentation soon with your tips .
ОтветитьI once made a public speech in English in front of a large audience. I got there early enough to practice beforehand and walk around the auditorium, stand on the stage and look around the empty seets where all the people would be sitting after a while. I was nervous at first, but soon I felt very confident. The speech went successfully; I got the first prize then. Alex, your teaching in this video reminded me of those young days. Now I'm a Japanese housewife living near Tokyo, I watch your video every day to get a lot of inspiration. Thank you for sharing💙
ОтветитьGreat practical tips.👌👌👌 Thanks for sharing.🌺🌺🌺
For me, as a perfectionist, the 2nd tip was so useful.
That thumbnail was wild 😂😂
ОтветитьCan you make a video regarding active listenening with different accents. Do you have a technique? That would be a lot of help.
ОтветитьGreat stuff, as usual.
Appreciate your videos!
Practical tips. Thank you!
ОтветитьGreat!
ОтветитьExcellent 👍
ОтветитьAmazing points as always, Alex. You keep it real and practical. Thank (It's me Craig - your friend from Mumbai, India). God Bless
ОтветитьHi Alex. Could you help with something? I've seen these tips WORK WELL in music performances in my past. Also in the recording studio. They translate perfectly into other types of "presentation," other than public speaking. My caveat: Where I've found that I totally freeze, get mental blocks, and lose mojo is when an audience is ABSENT. For instance, attempting to record podcasts on a mic or talk into a camera, as you're doing. Any tips that you might have would be greatly appreciated! God Bless!
ОтветитьThank you! Special talent you have! God Bless in Jesus name!
ОтветитьHi Alex, I used to be a good speaker but now I have PTSD and as soon as I have to speak I get blotchy red all over my neck and face. Other than using all these tips and practicing, do you think it would be appropriate to acknowledge this to put people at ease that I'm okay?
Ответитьعربي لوسمحت
