New Immigrants | Dasha's Story

Dasha was visibly shaken. Her mother, Olga, grabbed her 6-year-old daughter as Russian jets fired rockets at their home in Ukraine. The rockets barely missed their apartment—but hit the house right next door.

Olga knew they needed to flee. Soon after they left, their home was bombed. As Messianic Jews, they fled to Israel. It was a miracle they made it out alive, but they had nothing. They didn’t have food and didn’t know who could help them.

And then, they heard about a local church supported by CBN Israel that helps Ukrainian war victims. We provided their family with food and other essentials. Today, the couple both work, and Dasha is in school.
