What is A1C ?
ОтветитьI need help doctor im struggling
Ответитьmy mmol/l on fasting is around 4.2 (75mg/dl) but after eating just under 2 hours later it was 8.2mmol/l (146mg/dl), only tested a couple of times but it seemed high and according to you cause for concern, my a1c test was also fine..do i have problems?
Ответитьmy blood sugar was 151 after a rather intense workout and two mile run about an hour before my weightlifting routine. My average from my meter was around 111 for the week. What I read is that blood sugar goes up after an intense workout. I did not eat anything before it and my last meal was lunch at 1100 in the morning and my workout is after 6 pm.
I have also checked my medical record and I found that I have anemia. I was not told of this either. I have to make an appointment to address this issue.
Don't forget the carnivore diet doctor you should know this not just ketogenic diet
ОтветитьThank you very much
ОтветитьEverything is good; everything is haywire 😂
ОтветитьI like most of your videos , very informational. Here I don't understand , how PostMeal BGL test is accurate ? If I take extreme low carb diet(high soluble fiber drink before meal and then mostly salad with ACV, beans and fish) my blood glucose level will not spike much , but that doesn't mean that I don't have any IR and my A1C is normal ?
How about Homa-IR is that accurate ?
my blood sugar levels is around 6 to 6 50 when i wake up in the morning about 7 o'clock then at 8.30 it goes up to between 7 . to 7.5 then after 10 in the morning goes back to 5.5 to 6.7 even though i eat afternoon is lower than the morning is this normal??
ОтветитьWould you recommend cinnamon as an effective supplement to help glucose metabolism?
ОтветитьCould anyone here please direct me towards foods that I could easily find in India that would be considered a ketogenic food?
ОтветитьMy fasting Insulin is 5 which is optimal. I'm chronic type 2 Diabetic patient.
My A1c stays close to 9, without medication. Question is if Insulin is normal then why A1c stays high?
Also how low of blood sugar can be dangerous if I eat Keto?
Do it! The next generation needs to know.
ОтветитьK.
ОтветитьWithin the 2 hours after eating on a testing day, can I have salt water during that 2 hour period or would that skew the results?
ОтветитьCan help us, tell which CGM is good for us?
ОтветитьMy A1C is 5.3 but when I measure fasting glucose with glucometer it is 100-110 range. Why is that? I tried to do a glucose tolerance test, the lab did finger prick and it was 130! Then I measured from the same drop with my glucometer and it was 111. The lab refused to proceed with glucose tolerance test but my A1C is always 5.1-5.3 range. Insulin within a norm too. I don’t know how to proceed next. It confused my doctor as well. I’m really scared because all of my family members have either diabetes or prediabetes
ОтветитьThank you so much Dr. Berg. An ardent fan of yours. You somehow magically upload videos about issues that I’m bothered with. I was really searching for answers for blood glucose from the last two days. Now we have it here. Thanks again. Stay blessed.
ОтветитьOk Dr. just got my 3 mo lab results. FROM VA my glucose is 98 mg/dl I expected the A1C TO be lower than the 5.9 reading I got. On the ADA chart it would say 5.0 why are they so different? I was happy to get my sugar to that point, but they dont seem to equal each other.
ОтветитьRight now my hba1c is at 6.1% with an eAG of 128 mg/DL very worried and depressed. The question I would like to ask is if searched online on what's a normal post prandial blood glucose it shows below 140 mg/DL but you say that it should be below 120 mg/DL one or two hrs after meal n me being a pre diabetic my post meal blood glucose has maximum gone up to 153 mg/DL
Ответитьwell dr berg.. The post meal blood sugar, less than 120 and less than 100 after ,2 hrs
this is certainly impossible for even insulin sensitive people if they do high carb diet..
You should mention that as well.. The Quantity of meal and Postprandial glucose levels
This info helps!
ОтветитьIve been on keto for 6-7 mo and was at 6.4 AIC lab results. My recent 2 hr post meal readings are between 102-107. Im glad you said about the 2 hr post meal because I also use that to see where Im at. Not quite there but will be tested again early April. Plan to be under 6.0 hopefully.
ОтветитьOne more time Eric, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR GENEROSITY!!! God Bless You
ОтветитьHi Dr. Berg, can the ratio fasting measure and after meal measure be informative about how well the process is going?
ОтветитьOk, so I am a medicated type 2.
My fasting blood sugar is 100 in the early morning (5am) when I wake up, but by the time I get to the lab at 9am, it goes up to 130.
Strangely by blood glucose drops after breakfast to 85, then never really goes higher than 120 after lunch and dinner although I eat a total of 100 Net Carbs throughout the day.
So what is my fasting blood glucose? 100 or 130?
And why does my glucose drop after eating?
Thank you for the information thank you for the information
ОтветитьWhat if your sugar is low after fasting? What if my sugar has never been over 126 for fasting?
ОтветитьConfusion here. I just invested in glucose measurement & tools as recommended; yet, a recent Dr B video said that glucose numbers can read low due to insulin resistance. The only way to measure IR is A1C. Now I’m not sure what my glucose measurements are true or due to IR. It seems you need to have insulin test done first & then watch glucose? Anyone else with input? I am not overweight, exercise daily, over 50.
ОтветитьThank you.
ОтветитьAmerican unit sucks! Don’t know what those number means !
ОтветитьSo it really depends on what we eat…
I’ve been testing and tracking what i eat. Every time eat more sweets my numbers are higher vs I eat low carbs/sugar
Anyone the same?
Ive been doing this now for 2 months entering third. My numbers are still wonkey .. not giving up as even though my numbers are off I have not felt this good in a hot moment. I stopped using insulin three yeas
Rs ago felt so much better then. Just started the fasting and I feel even better.
I’m joining the fan club!! If I get discouraged about feeling deprived and hungry for the evil carbs I watch Dr Berg and it’s like an AA meeting but with carbs. Thanks Dr 😃
Ps. How about Carbohydrates Anonymous? CA meetings? 😁 Really I am serious I love this man and have learned so much invaluable health information that I cannot say thank you enough. Blessings to you and your family
what is the machine that checks a1c every 3 months called
ОтветитьI was doing so well for 2 weeks and was dying for a pumpkin spice latte and a blueberry muffin so I checked my blood sugar and it was 5.7 mmol/l after a very very low almost non-existent-carb meal and thought why not, it looks fine, right? And then now I’ve fallen off the bandwagon. I failed myself.
ОтветитьIn my Keto diet I have never seen my blood glucose rising to 120, not even once. 118 has been at the highest. However, I have never seen it drop to 100 after 2 hours. It stays at 112 or so for a number of hours. I have not checked my blood glucose in the last couple of weeks to see what is going on.
I have slowely been gearing more and more towards carnivor diet.
i dont agree with all that just saying not everyone is the same etc. drs will say things like that to keep them in a job just like any profession in the us or anywhere
ОтветитьI have pre-diabetes. a1c is 6.1. My dr. wants me to put me on metforman. should i take that or berberine? any other advice?
ОтветитьHe talked about everything but didn’t say what is the accurate way to measure blood glucose
ОтветитьAweaome that you Dr ❤
ОтветитьYou lost me...... I think most diabetics or prediabetics know what the number should be If you don't have diabetes but what is the best method to get an accurate blood sugar reading?????? and 2 hours after we eat I'm pretty sure everyone knows that also
ОтветитьDr. Do you measure after a keto meal?
ОтветитьLove your videos and explanations. So very helpful. New diagnosed diabetic 6.6 A1C. Want to turn it around. What meter do you recommend for checking blood as described in this video? Thank you.
ОтветитьThanks for the video
ОтветитьIm 70yrs of age and I’m a bit concerned about my health. I have prostate problems which I’m trying to sort out. I watched your videos on that subject and taken your advice. Now I’m looking at my sugar levels as I had to have tablets to reduce the high sugar reading.
I’m a bit confused you say for non diabetics. Which I am at the moment I hope. The normal reading should be between 70 & 90. Ideally 80mg. Then at the end of the video, you say “post meal”. The reading should be normal <120 1-2hrs after. <100 2hrs after.
I think you make great videos, because you get down to the nitty gritty of things 👍👍👍.
I’m trying to find out what are the good and bad readings are.
At the moment, I’m a non diabetic. I’ve made 3 reading at a week apart from one another, in the evening before bed. They’re 103, 100 & 146. Can you please tell me if they’re good or bad. I think their bad, especially the latter. 👍👍👍
Very low carb Omad for a week/ with the meal at lunchtime- brought me into the 80s and 90s after years of struggling- still bouncing up some, but I never thought I’d get there- never used the meds except for two weeks when I had to use insulin.
ОтветитьTesting and knowing about control ok why can't you invent medicine for permanent cure of of diabetes what is use of these lecture can the patient understand non cencce
ОтветитьChecking one's blood level 1 to 2 hours after a meal. Ok. Which meal?
Ответить
