Just tried this recipe yesterday and I wouldn’t recommend it: I left it overnight in the fridge and it still wasn’t stiff enough to frost a cake. It was slimy and the cake layers squished the frosting out. Absolute fail.

ОтветитьGuys be careful with the amount of lemon juice, if you put too much, you'll end up with runny frosting that won't hold on cake, I'll use just the juice of half a lemon next time ...

ОтветитьHello Sarah! Thank you for sharing your recipe with us. May I know how to prevent the frosting from turning into a soupy consistency? It happens when confectioner's sugar is added. I have tried putting it in the fridge and in the freezer, but it still has this oozing liquid consistency that does not hold up on a cake once it is out of the fridge. Help please!! Thank you.

and i 100% recommend it. It is so delicious! The only thing i tweaked is the amount of sugar ( i only used 90% of a pound) If you make a cake you need to try this!

ОтветитьC&H sugar is made from cane, and others are made from beets. Personally, I think cane is better.
