ОтветитьThoughts on Metzeler Karoo 4?
ОтветитьOnce again very informative you're the reason I went with the tires I have now
ОтветитьLooking for the continental tkc 80 for a 15” rim. Anything???
ОтветитьWhat would you recommend for a CB500X that is mainly on the road, but occasionally goes on unpaved, rocky, gravelly green lanes? I was leaning towards the Missions, but the weight put me off.
ОтветитьOh, I will say that on my front tractionator rallz only lasted like 6500 miles.
ОтветитьI put 12k miles on my tractionator rallz rear before I had to replace it on my klr650. Man it was cool.
I don't know how they do it.
How well does the Anankee do on road?
ОтветитьWhat mileage did you say you’re seeing with the Anakee wilds?
ОтветитьThanks so much for your video!
Question! New Hampshire bdr+mud ... my karoo3 always go sideway... kind of scary... not fun... for a gsf850 adventure your choice???
Great presentation
ОтветитьNot interested. Dunlop 606 or nothing..
ОтветитьThis review is amazing! I ride 90% street and canyons hardly any dirt roads or gravel, but love the look of the aggressive tread so I think based off this review I'll go with the Motaz Adventure if that's good for longevity and street twistys. I couldn't help but notice the difference in height on the trailmax mission vs the tractionator. I have a 2023 tiger 900 and really want a larger looking tire for that weird small 17" rim (most comparable motorcycles in that class and cc have 18" rears and 21" fronts). would love to see the Motaz adventure sitting next to that TM mission.
ОтветитьHey there! I need a couple new tires for my 2016 NC 750 and I found this video. Do you have any recommendation for what tires I could fit on it? My riding is mainly on road, but I hit the odd fire road on weekends as well, so I'd like something that doesn't immediately slip on easy off-roads.
I was mainly looking at the Michelin Anakee (300€), Continental Trail Attack 3 (300€) and Dunlop Mutant (290€) , but I'm open to any other tires. Thanks!
Hello. Truly good work. I have to ask what do you think best tires are for dirt roads or gravel roads you know town roads. I like traveling them. Less traffic. Your help is greatly appreciated
ОтветитьGreat video sir! What is the weight of the tkc70? If it's not to heavy it will be my next tire. Thanks!
ОтветитьI Have A 2023 Honda XR150L . Talk To Me Boss .
ОтветитьGreat video. But what about the Heidenau k60? I have a 950 adventure and I'll do some offroad, but being a beginner it's gonna get alot of street. Anyway, the temptation to go on trails is there...
ОтветитьHI, can you recommend a tire for 2022 KLR 650? I am looking for something that can go from the street to sandy wash (like out by glen helen), onto the beach then to hard pack road back to street. I carry alot of weight, I am generally in Baja but no single track stuff just HWY, wash, hard pack and beach. Can you recommend something.
ОтветитьWhere do you place th TKC70 rocks? You glazed over it.
ОтветитьWow, what an amazing information, thank you Kyle!
ОтветитьHi Kyle, been watching your reviews for a while, thanks, I've bought several tires based on your recommendations and have learned a lot. My adventures to this point have been mostly the BDRs. However, very soon I plan to take the big trip from Colorado to Ushuaia on a Tuareg 660. "Hoping" to do this on 2 rears and one front. I like dirt, and know from traveling a bit in Mexico, Central America and Colombia that a lot of roads along the way are pretty rough and I expect to hit every road and weather condition. That said I am a pretty conservative rider especially traveling alone. I was thinking Motoz Adventure for rear, but not sure about front. Does Motoz GPS have enough grip for off-road stuff I can't anticipate? Does this make sense, or do you have other ideas? Thanks and keep the great videos coming...
ОтветитьBrilliant review man absolutely brilliant!! I'm looking for a tyre for my 2017 r1200gs that will give me grip on road aswell as off road ? 90% of my riding is on road but I'm finding myself looking for more trails and see that the road 6's are not going to get me unstuck if I get stuck 🤣🤣 but I'm looking to really be able to use the bike to its full capacity now I have the 2017 GS exclusive with the alloy wheels so I'm not sure of the anakee adventures Wilde's would be a good option or not but what would you recommend?? Ideally I looking to do more off roading !!
Ответитьwhat about the front tires? motoz adventure vs rallz
ОтветитьHey Kyle, just bought a ‘23 KLR650S. Having a problem with the stock Dunlop front tire, best way to describe is clickly. 30mph in a lean the bars “click” an inch into the turn. Also when I’m stopping at a light have to ride the left or right front tread. Can’t really stay centered. Only 300mike on them and bike. Thinking of switching to Motoz Tractionator Adv. for rear but is there a front? Do you know anyone running them on a Klr? Thanks, Chris
ОтветитьWhat an excellent review! Really clear with great description - really helped me in my search for new tires. I also appreciated the insert of the tire data. Thanks!
ОтветитьIt seems that every tire that you recommend only comes tubeless. I have a 2023 KLR 650 and looking for a new set of decent tires but everything seems to be tubeless, how about some love on tube tires or at least some recommendations.
ОтветитьCan you do a review like this for front tires?
ОтветитьI love your depth of knowledge and the time you dedicate to both testing and reviewing tires for us. One thing I do find lacking in most of the "adventure tire" reviews is commentary on noise and vibration. Remember, the entire segment we now call "ADV" is shorthand for "adventure touring." Which implies living with a tire for long stretches of time on the road. I ran a set of Anakee Wild tires that performed exactly as you said, excellent road handling, reasonable treadlife, and sure-footed off-road traction. They were amazing brand new. But by the time they were worn about 50% they became exceedingly noisy and the front transmitted a lot of vibration through the handlebars. The knobs also began to cup significantly along the biting edge from heavy braking. The noise and vibration got so bad that I will likely not consider another set for my bike.
More recently, due to a financial crunch that made buying new tires a challenge, I was gifted a front K60 Scout and a rear Shinko 805. Much to my surprise, the 805 is quite smooth and quiet riding on my bike, but the K60 up front is exceptionally noisy. Where the Anakee Wild had a loud, bassy growl, the Scout whines like a jet engine. So there are two tires I'd likely not consider again.
Noise and vibration are key factors in shopping for a true adventure touring tire, so any comparative info you can provide would be hugely helpful. All those 50/50 tires you compared here are highly rated for traction and handling. But I would definitely buy the one that is the quietest and smoothest riding.
Not sure it this is still been read and awnsered, but I'm looking for a set of tyres where you can ride highway miles for comuting during the week, and offroad sandy/dirt/mud during the weekends. Fyi, I'm curently driving a Transalp 700 with the michelin anakee adventures and I'm quite content with them, but they have a litle less traction offroad then i would like. Is there a comparible tyre that preformce the same roadwise, especially in rain, but better ofroad then those? Thank you in forward if you awnser^.^
ОтветитьWhat frt tire would wrk best w/tkc70 rear have good curved rd traction and mud / dirt off rd on a 2022 ktm 1290 r.
Ответитьanother amazing review, thanks so much, i ride a ktm 1290 s 2023, and its a heavy beast, i ordered tck rocks for the rear but i just cant figure what would do better on front for dirt rodes and better twisty roads and wheelies :) my two choices for front are tck 70 and dunlop mission? help bro help. :) i heard the dunloo mission are heavy and iam worried how it will impact trowing the bike from corner to corner.
ОтветитьGreat review. Thanks a ton, brother!
ОтветитьF- the metric system 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
ОтветитьI'm very new and just got a ktm 390 adventure. What would you recommend for a tire I can get by in the dunes but wont be completely out of my element taking the highway to ride some forest roads? 🤷♂️
ОтветитьAre you still at Moto City?
ОтветитьAwesome breakdown Kyle. Thank you!
ОтветитьI've been struggling for the last few weeks trying to find a front tire for my drz400sm 120/70-17 I want to run motoz but no options so then I been looking at tkc and 700series shishinko I want to stay away from Dunlap but I'm really open to anything that will fit I think I can run slightly bigger then the 120/70-17 basically I'm not married to anything
ОтветитьYou can tell who you promote in every video man. Clearly your pushing the motoz tires hard. The fact that your putting them in the same class as the dunlop Trailmax mission is foolish. As someone who's ran them all. The Dunlop Trailmax is a league above any when it comes to the 50.50 class. Especially when it comes to the life of the tire and the off-roading capabilities. It was a game changer when it came out, and there really nothing in the same class the can touch it.
ОтветитьThese tires will look great on a Suzuki Hayabusa.
ОтветитьGreat video, I think you should weigh every tire yourself and make sure to share it. Weight is a huge factor for me in offroad, keeping things as light as possible because I like to throw the bike around lol. Cheers
ОтветитьI have the TKC 80, great tires!
ОтветитьKyle, Thanks for all the testing and great info. My question is in regards to the front tire noise or hum that comes up through the tunnel on my 1200GS right into my helmet. Looking to purchase the Motoz GPS rear and as you suggested the Motoz adventure front. Currently, I am running the Dunlop Trailmax Missions (front and rear). If you have any data, how would the Adventure front compare to the Trailmax front as far as noise?
ОтветитьKyle, thanks for the video that was amazing. I have a BMW GS 750. I’m probably on Road 70% of time off route 30% What’s your favorite tire for that scenario? thank you
ОтветитьWhat do you have for a 2018 Road King I want a a rancher tire that will fit
ОтветитьHi Kyle! I know this video is a year old but what would be your favorite tire/s (regardless of price) for a small cc motorcycle (CRF300L in my case) for doing BDR's and the TAT? Thank you for all your videos!
ОтветитьWhich is the quietest?
ОтветитьPlease share table comparative numbers
