Reminds me of the Trash musical from Mrs Maisel

I wonder if it was Kidd that did the choreography? Whoever it was, think of the looks people had "how about a dance routine with a trash can lid on one of the feet?"

Kelly seems to inspire his co-dancers. Michael Kidd matches Kelly in adroitness as does Dan Dailey. Similarly in "Singing in the Rain" Donald O'Connor more than matched it with Gene.
