2003 BMW 325i M Sport E46 Unexpected car purchase and 250 miles road trip home!

I was in Exeter for a long weekend with my wife and happened to mention to my mate. He told me he'd got a car he was interested in there and could I check it out for him. Turns out it was in the road behind my hotel! Had a look and took it for a test drive, car looked good so passed it on to my mate. He agreed a price and I then drove the car back to Kent. My wife wasn't happy that she had to drive back on her own!
