Poole Park 1950, the Miniature Steam Railway, Train, F989

I understand that a mini (miniature) railway was set up in Poole Park in 1949. Here we see Kodachrome footage of this mini railway working in the summer of 1950. This is perhaps the earliest footage of this wonderful amenity yet to appear...and it is interesting to see how formally everyone is dressed to simply enjoy what is in the park.

I think the photographer was Mr Keith L. Vernon. It was frame by frame scanned from 16mm Kodachrome, at 2048x1536 resolution.
