Edit: You can use the medium logging trailer with the log carrier. Trailer position makes a big difference. Update: P16 will be getting logging add-ons in a future update. Not sure why it wasn't part of the first round on testing!

where do i get long logs in Wisconsin?? i can only find medium logs.

it is so stupid the game accepts only 3 logs as 1 pack with manual loading, while one automatic load is also one pack. You can't load more than one pack with automatic loading but you can load a lot more packs with manual loading to shorten the repetitive logging missions.

Man really made it as hard as possible to load that log at the end

Thanks for this, I've been running around for 2 days doing this task. Thought I had to go to different maps, but I was looking good for auto load. That's not easy to find.

I have task to deliver1 long log, there is no way how to finish it, since game won't let you pack it on trailer, thus it is not recognised as cargo at destination. I spend painfl hours on this terrible task.

This makes no fucking sense, I have the log carrier rear on, the log carrier rear, to haul long logs. But I can't load them when I get to the log station. Trucks perfectly straight. It say I have the wrong trailer, but everyone says that combo is how to haul long logs. Wtf is going on.

The White Western Star, International Paystar 5070 and the International HX520 can use the medium log carrier frame addon with the medium log trailer. That way you can haul two loads of medium logs at the same time. There's probably more trucks that can do this as well but, I've only tested these three so far.

imagine my face when I did my first run for "timber for the locals," thinking cuz I loaded three logs to pack cargo, I would go from 0/3 to 3/3

So let me understand this. The helpful dot that shows if the logs are in the right spot on the trailer/where to grab them from don’t show up if the vehicle isn’t attached to the trailer you’re loading? That’s hella dumb

How the fuck do you tow medium logs in this bull shit ass game!?

Best logging truck and trailer is the sideboard semitrailer on the truck of your choice (Tayga). And another truck with the relevant addon installed (the long and low azov is great to haul the crane the front log addon and either the rear log trailer (for long logs) or medium log trailer. Whinch the two trucks and fill the sideboard bed (i got 12logs in.. some did even 15logs) medium or long.

The 10x10 azov has great fuel consuption (unlike the international 5700ts) and with a trailer store nearby you can switch from long logs to medium in a pinch.
Or get both trailer types (the rear log attached and the medium trailer wiched) with the azov but you need two trips with each truck as the winch is used on the trailer.
If the task is medium logs then the long sideboard bed of the 10x10 azov or the 5700TS is good to haul medium logs (unpacked) 12-15 of them and have another truck with the medium log trailer and the log crane to pack and load/unload. My take for medium logs was the zikc truck (the MAZ) with crane and medium trailer wiched to the 10x10 azov with the long sideboard bed installed.

The fact that some log stations only carry certain lengths has ruined this entire game. And you have to drive all the way to each one to find out which has which length! It's so fucking enraging and just ruined nearly 6 hours of prep and cost me my sanity. Fuck this game. Pathetic.

im still confused how the medium logs work. is there no way of hauling two trailers of medium logs instead of going back and fourth with just one? The game does an awful job at explaining what the trailers can carry..

I manned up and not threw away the remote. So I just carried on and did the next missions.

A lot of time and effort. I have to do it tomorrow. I bought 3 trailers and none of them work.

Why the hell does the crane sitt so far back, why is it so long, why is everything in this game so STUPIDLY designed.

Why don't you just pick up the log in the middle at the center of its mass? There is even a mark on the log for it. That way you don't have the hassle with the crane

For the medium logs, you can automatically load it in the log carrier trailer and for the long you just need the two extansion trailer (Front & rear). No need for the log crane! Found that yesterday after struggling with those mtfers lol Once you get into the log selection zone pay attention on the loading spot you have the choice manually (Crane) or trailer.

Can you load those logs automstically like the other freights in the game onto your truck?

I still haven't tried logging because each time after 30 min of driving my truck gets tipped over i rage quit playing for a month. This time i got so far as to actually arriving at logging place just to figure out that my big cargo is too big for a small loggs, so i rage quited for another month...
