The world building in this is so cool, love the tech and how they hacked modern tech to work with old stuff. I love the hobbled together jankiness, the laptop controlled munitions.

I love how we can pretty much understand Carlyle’s personality so well with so little scenes of him. From how he treats Max we know he doesn’t care about his workers dying on the job to how he refers to cars as “wheeled vehicles” while severely underestimating the severity of his situation on the ground, showing his naivety, placing all trusts onto his droids and looking confused when they cut through his vehicle pretty much sums up the kind of privileged life he has had on Elysium and all he cares about to is taking control of Elysium with the datas he had (literally) in his mind.

My only critics is that the first Droid died too fast. It should make much more damage. Not just disintegrate after first burst of small caliber airburst rounds (which make no sense, it should be some heavy grenade launcher).

The locked camera angles behind Matt were so cool

Neil Blomkamp's first movie (District 9) was a masterpiece, Elysium was less of a masterpiece, but still a pretty cool movie! Then the Neil began to slide to the bottom, where it is now. I am very sad that he has degraded so much. Still, thanks to him for the first two films, they look cool even after so many years...

Stupidity is making a fighting machine humanoid.
Strangely such an advanced ship doesn't have counter measures yet operates in a hostile environment.
Droids don't even have the basic function to look for cover? Lousy...
