I am not sure that I agree with people saying other extreme sports are better. Motorcycle racing is crazy, and you are probably increasing your odds of dying more than when exploring caves.

At least with caving, it's not just about the adrenalin addiction. You get to reach places that no one has ever been to before, and you get to produce amazing photos inside. Isn't that kind off what astronauts do? They also squeeze in tight spaces, to get somewhere where no one has been before.
