Do you know if these Sheertex tights have a circular patch where the legs join?

They offered to replace them and you didn’t like their instructions. This is not a fair review…

Nobody want your cooter juice in the mail girl! Do you want to handle someone else’s worn undies? They don’t know what your hygiene is …

The reason why they tell you to destroy the product and cut it in half is because the cost of shipping is expensive and it’s not worth it to them so they rather have you destroy them.

I have cheap tights from H&M and CVS that i’ve worn years that barely pull like that. Glad i didn’t buy these!

Just FYI the little fiber clumps you mentioned are called pills.

Thank you for this review, I was about to buy these, but the moment you mentioned their unsustainable practice helped me make up my mind to not purchase them. I get why they don't want a return because they are intimate items, but there should still be a way to upcycle some of the materials

As far as cutting the tights up, how many regular pairs are thrown out compared to Sheertex tights? I have a couple pairs of Sheertex worn well over 20 times and still going. I have not had a pair fail yet other than the one defect (I have bought about a dozen pair of tights to date).

The thigh highs are horrible though - stay away as the seams in the lace starts to split and the lace also stretches so much that after 3 wears the stockings are almost unusable. You could use a garter, but the lace splits at the seam.

I appreciate this review as I had been considering their $30 pair though they're only available in black and I really wanted brown (I'm caramel skin toned so I usually prefer a sheer brown similar to my natural legs). But after hearing about the 30 day guarantee I definitely won't be buying from them, particularly because they won't refund and the "disposal" method is ridiculous. I've been without tights for like 2 yrs or so now because I'd always get a pair and after a few wears they randomly get runs. I'll be looking into the other brand you mentioned, thank you again🤗

The sizing chart is not precise. By weight I would be medium. This size was large, bunched at the toe and was floppy at the ankle. Customer service not so hot. In my case, I am still sitting on four pairs that I cannot wear. With better customer service, an exchange for the proper fitting size, I think I would like them.

You're right about the size chart, I think it would've been better if they included more than just weight. I ordered according to my weight and it's too small and tight, so it doesn't even fit! Now I'm going through customer service to work this out. Really bummed about hearing that you're required to destroy the tights in order to get the replacement... I would feel guilty to cut up new tights too.

super appreciate the honest and thorough review. just wanted to say though that unfortunately the vast majority of returned clothes get basically sent straight to landfill and aren't inspected for quality :( read a piece in the Atlantic about it. so sheertex is really just more straightforwards about it than other brands. still shitty considering how much they market sustainability though.

Those marks are the same ones I got on my sheertex within LITERALLY ONE HOUR of wearing! Currently trying to get a refund, but we'll see how that goes.

This is a great, thorough review. I was considering this brand because, like you said — with the price being so steep I assumed that the quality was up to par. I’m also very disappointed with their unsustainable practices. More people need to know about this, its pretty much a scam at this rate.

I’m just going to play devil’s advocate here, but tights are considered ‘intimates’ and it would be extremely unhygienic to expect them to either handle the returned, worn product or to even recycle it in some capacity. I agree with you that it’d be wasteful, but for such a high price I’ll be honest… I’d expect them to do that as they’re an indie brand with prices of a luxury brand.

You weren't critical. Your saving people that are on the fence about these. I looked at their 30 day guarantee and it did not instill confidence in me. It should be a lot longer for what they promise and the price tag. I think they just have fancy advertising and hook people in then don't give a lot of leeway when there's issues with the product.

Honestly I've heard of this destroying thing when getting a replacement for electronics too, to prevent reselling or getting something for free. My guess is you would send a photo of the cut-up tights rather than send it in, since they are a small company and likely don't have $$$ to get a team to inspect tights.

The little knots is exactly why I was going to splurge on these because i hated them on cheap hanes tights. Thanks so much for this review!

I’ve bought two pairs !& ive been very pleased . Yes they are on the pricey side but you get what you pay for . I’ve never had no issues with Mine ! I’ve put mine through the paces ! They never ripped ect . I have the black & the indigo blue ones !

Cecilia de Rafael makes a sheer to waist pantyhose that is resistant to snagging and they will NOT run. Yes, they can develop a hole but the hole will not run. They cost less than eight US dollars per pair.

I own only one pair of sheertex. The pair I own are thigh highs instead of the full tights. So far I have had decent experience with them. But I do notice that the coloration on the stockings can be a little uneven. But they do hold up well and is super strong. Great review

Yesss here for this review. I'm so glad about how honest this was... I still have two pairs sitting in my room that I bought myself and haven't even opened it yet. I really hope it's going to last more than at least 6 wears!! Not sure how cutting the tights would help either side of the parties, apart from the two pack that I have now- since it's way past due my return day, I don't think I would be buying from them again unfortunately. I was really looking forward to "unbreakable tights" - let alone, more of a sustainable practise... thanks for being super honest and sharing your experience!

This review was so thorough! I've always been skeptical about the Sheertex unbreakable tights 🤔That's so disappointing about their 30 day guarantee program. I'm shocked that a company would ask their customers to destroy their products because they didn't want anyone to wear them or maybe they just didn't want to pay for the return shipping only to destroy it themselves. I know some retail stores do the same thing behind closed doors when customers return damaged clothing but wow this experience would leave a bad taste in my mouth too. I definitely won't be buying these. Going to check out the alternative ones! :)
