Amazing job, with camerawork(and dog) to match.
ОтветитьReally cool man!
ОтветитьI realize it's been five years since you posted this video, but I do have a question. How did you get your dog to look at the camera the entire time?
ОтветитьIs this wood porn or a diy? Jesus! Great build though brother. You got skills for sure. I’m going to build one now. But maybe you got another career if wood working doesn’t work out. lol to funny. Aloha😊
Ответитьwow this is one of the best videos if not the Best!! Thank you for sharing this with us this is the best. wish you all the best to you and your love ones God blest you all...😀
ОтветитьThat's a bench of beauty 😍
ОтветитьI am sorry, but I don't buy all this woodworking porn video. This is not a work bench, it is a boulder of immovable wood. A good table is one that you can move when needed, and that you can disassemble if you your needs change. The only way to transport this thing is with a chain saw.
ОтветитьIt’s a good looking bench!
ОтветитьChris, thank you for the fantastic video. I am thinking about building my own bespoke bench and you have given me some great tips and hints. I love that you show the hand tool working so clearly. Educators would do well to show your videos to their woodworking students - as much for their motivational ’can do’ elements - as the crucial artisan skills you teach so brilliantly. Many thanks again. Tim. Dublin, Ireland.
ОтветитьThis is woodworking porn!
Ответить大工!
ОтветитьHey, this looks great! Just wondering if there's any way to alter the joints to make it possible to disassemble? Just as my workshop may not stay in the same place for as long as I want this to last me! Also how is the dimensional stability without any cross-grain supports on the end? I realize it's probably omitted for ease of construction but would you recommend them if I was willing to go the extra mile?
ОтветитьJust started this bench project with my Dad today. Been sitting on the plans for 3 years now but am finally in a position to build. Super keen to have a big project that I can learn a lot on
ОтветитьGreat build. Can you share the color of the paint you used?
ОтветитьThat is a bench!!!!
Ответитьas WrangleStar showed on His historic benches there should be a useful dip in the middle of the table where you can keep your tools while working on a project.
ОтветитьGreat work! 🤘
ОтветитьI got the plans for the workbench. I am going to build it out of eastern red cedar ,all solid heartwood I had the logs sawmilled. The top of the bench is a 3 1/2”thick slab.and 18”wide. I built a farm tressle table from the plans I ordered from Third coast. It turned out good.
ОтветитьI've just came to see the dog from skyrim and found the best workbench.
ОтветитьОхуенно!
ОтветитьJust love it ❤😮
ОтветитьThat is some of the greatest joinery I've ever seen.
ОтветитьAnyone here do
This bench in southern yellow pine? Curious what the price came out too. Also thinking of using that for just the legs and stringers, but staying with hardwood for the top, bring the cost down a bit. Appreciate the help.
Also awesome bench and video
Good job
ОтветитьWhat a great thing to buy a board kit with the important sides flat. Guess that was a reasonable thing to do back in 2018. Thanks for having made that possible. I’ll look at your page to see what you’ve go there for beginners.
Ответитьwow, if that bench was a soldier it would be British SAS
ОтветитьI love to sharp those things with oil , I feel smart I never went to school.
ОтветитьDrathaar?
ОтветитьNew to your channel. Your shop is so sexy, that chisel set up was way too clean. You do badass work. Earned my sub
ОтветитьLove the end result and the purist approach, not least as I apprenticed as a cabinetmaker nearly fifty years ago. But I have to admit, in this day and age, my time is precious to me, and if power tools are at hand to make the task easier and more efficient, I'll grab them and put them to use. Still a wonderful job though.
ОтветитьThis is art not craft.
ОтветитьGotta be honest.... I kinda hated to see you paint that beautiful wood. Thanks so much for sharing your skill.
ОтветитьDude I got a circular saw a few hand saws a screw gun and a an impact gun and a saws all a hand planer and a belt sander. So you are way over kill for my experience though a good work bench is a good tool as I do some mechanic work as well mostly small engine type things.
ОтветитьNice build, an observation for improvement would be to not draw bore the stretchers on the back side. The top of the bench is going to expand and contract and this will put stress on the stretcher joints since they cannot move with the top. To overcome this you can drawbore the side stretchers to the front legs and not the back. Using a free sliding double mortice on the back legs will allow the side stretcher tenons to slide in and out of the rear leg mortices with the expansion and contraction of the bench top. Hope this makes sense.
ОтветитьThat dog looks EXACTLY like the skyrim dog hahahha
ОтветитьPerfect workbeanch my ass you are full of it!!
ОтветитьThis looks so good! I’m just starting my woodworking journey and I’m nowhere near ready for something like this. Gives me something to shoot for!
Ответитьtoo much talk
Ответитьwell crafted joinery....kudos to you
ОтветитьAmazing Work
ОтветитьA tip for beginner craftsmen: be in touch with your inner masochist watching this. Jesus F Christ.
Man. I got some work ahead of me...
You Sir are a master builder.
30$ for plans?? Anyone can get them for free, you must have been smoking too much…
ОтветитьVery good! Can I ask for a file sketchup ? Thank you very much..
Ответить13 minutes of woodwork porn and 10 seconds of description.
