Imagine enjoying the life but wanting to die (not being inmortal)

it was coming face to face with mortality, and in particular the stark raving terror of my possible non-existence, that caused me to KNOW there had to be 'something more'. or why would i be so paralyzingly ~afraid~? and i don't simply mean a greater recognition of 'sweeter moments'. or trying to psyche myself into being more appreciative of life when i'm not. thank God (literally) i found the truth of the immortal life of the soul for all in the message of the love of God through Christ Jesus. which, none of us ever die. we simply slip off these old coats and carry on.

I would appreciate a response to Dr. Charles Brenner's Article "Sirtuins are not conserved longevity genes" Life Metabolism, Volume 1, Issue 2, October 2022, Pages 122–133.

Dr. Sinclair advocates a Fountain of Youth with questionable evidence to support his theory of aging. Have other scientists tested Dr. Sinclair's new theory of aging? Given the history of questionable claims to resveratrol extending the life of laboratory rats has been seriously challenged, should we be thrilled by this theory.

This is gold! Lex, I suggest you listen to this again and overthink some of your views. I agree on so many points with David here.
Especially, please consider a more healthy (plant based) diet, not only for your health but also for the planet.
Thanks for doing these interviews!
Much love from NZ, Chris

Lex asks a question, and then adds context, and then keeps talking about why his question is relevant to him, and it's very frustrating.

Initially it's some refreshing insight, but now I just fastforward to the guest answering the question which was asked two months ago.

I am 35 or something, my body screams NOOO every day, i feel like the ghost trapped in the body of an old man, yet people expect me to behave like a healthy person, i can not imagine how hard it must be for people with disabilitys....this is some bullshit for privileged people who never worked in their life.

Lex is a sap... Sinclair (PhD) tried to foist Resveratrol (doesn't work) on the public. Then he lobbied the United States FDA to ban NMN (which does work) so he can develop it exclusively. What a joke.... They did of course. The FDA should be dismantled and reorganized.

Lots of interesting stuff here. For me personally, light fasting is something to look into. BUT, exercising more does not wear out joints, it strengthens and regenerates them even past middle age (so long as you are careful to avoid injury and work on mobility - that does not get enough attention). Berries have beneficial antioxidants, and fruits key nutrients (just don't eat too much); meat, too much is bad for you, red meat among the worst things you can eat if longevity is your aim (Lex, Lex, Lex ...I worry for you!). Just funny that, without exception, specialists in aging or performance will pursue things that other studies show unequivocally are incorrect or sub-optimal, and. conversely, avoid or downplay beneficial things, usually in the name of pursuing some metric that they have targeted (no sugar is a good example here). Moderation in all things! It still works mots of the time.

I have to say I'm puzzled that in these casts on longevity, performance, etc., the Mediterranean diet rarely comes up. (Sinclair touches on this at about 59 min.) Yet it's the only one that has unequivocal impact on health and longevity, supported by decades of studies. Would like to hear more on this.

David Sinclair is a complete and total fraud conman. He uses platforms like Lex's to get interviewed by someone completely ignorant of his field and is unable to challenge him in any meaningful way so he can spout his BS and sell his snake oil. He did the same thing with NMN and resveratrol. Don't believe it.

Sinclair's lobbyist and patent attorney recently forced all forms of MNM except the form Sinclair now owns a patent on - to be taken off Amazon, etc. He now has a monopoly on the compound.

If that assertion is true, then that little bitch sickens me as he talks about what he wants to do for humankind on this podcast.
Lex, fortuitously lives in a make-believe world about love and the nature of human kindness. But Sinclair is much richer for accomplishing the alleged con. Lex, of course, is a perfect patsy not to challenge Sinclair on the numerous published paper that refutes Sinclair's assertions on his monopoly product.

Since this interview David Sinclair and his company have successfully lobbied the FDA to have NMN banned as a supplement, citing its investigation as use as a ‘drug’. Also he wants to make humanity better because his grandma told him to.

He needs to deal with the resveratrol controversy. It bothers me to see someone without conscience willing to repeat self interested promotional statements when he already has the means. Whats the motivation at this point to be open about whats true and desregard whatever ego he has on the subject.

I so agree with Lex when he talks about doctors being pretty much negligent about collecting datas, and often doing diagnostics based on %.
I'm 38 now, training a lot, and running (did half marathons and marathon). I've been on antidepressants for 10 years, I stopped this year. It's a struggle, been I'm trying to be living naturally. I've been given meds but never have they check for my testosterone levels and other potential key elements that contributes to anxiety and depression. This video inspire me To work on staying healthy and trying to be stress free.
