My free trial homepage looks different than the one shown in this tutorial? Will it look different if/when I purchase the full software?

I truly believe they need to give you more information for example… If you start your free trial and in the mist of the free trial you bye yet… Will it start the screenplay over or let you continue… It’s a guessing game… And when I first started the screenplay it was hard to figure out how to start it but after two hours of being aggravated I finally figured it out… I would say now that I do enjoy having it… But they need more information for beginners like myself… I watched your videos probably four or five of them and my questions were not ever answered… But yet I figured it out on my own… But now I’m actually enjoying it

The Quick Start videos are nice, BUT why the silly music, whirling animations and exact same intro and exit speech on every single video? Did some marketing genius thing that would be cool?

I just updated from FD 11 to 12. I'm not a screenwriter but a fiction novel writer. I find it awesome to use Final Draft to store notes about each book in the series I'm writing as well as picture "depictions" of main characters. I use the script mode to essentially write out each scene like a screenwriter would and the beat board to store notes and character pictures, then write my book based off my own screenplay version. Final Draft is a great program for my writing process. I love it!

i am a FD windows user. but FD should stop being elitist and make FD mobile available on android too. FD does not use cloud saving, a security feature that i prefer (everything offline).

This is all for Mac, where is the tutorial for beginners using windows?

I love Final Draft! This was a very good, concise tutorial; I wish all tutorials were like this. I swear, I thought FD ad a Plot Grid feature, but now I can't locate it. If anyone knows where it is, please tell me.

why does the windows version look so much uglier

I CANT EXPORT MY final draft pro 12 SCRIPT TO PDF. I was enterting a screenwriting competition and missed the deadline. OMG WTF. I thought this was professional software. I've just wasted a month of my life writing to be failed by Final draft 12 software. ONE MONTH WRITING! Why did i pay Nearly £200 for this software that cant do a simple task? Save to PDF

I thought I was doing something wrong when I had to press enter twice to continue dialogue. They really made it that labor intensive, huh? Even Trelby knows to stay in dialogue mode until you tell it to change. I usually have more than one character talking in a scene. Why not stay in dialogue mode until the user switches by pressing tab?

How do I import a pdf? I get an error page when I go to that set of instructions.

I was screwed over on a different software. I typed 4 episodes and sent to someone only to find out, they cannot open and needed to pay for the software to open it. I tried to copy and paste it on document, cannot do that. Option to save it under pdf or word document, they wanted more money. Any issues like this on this software?

TBH I wish there was a version of this that also showed the windows version. It's a small thing and probably wouldn't be worth the cost of them to make it but it would be helpful to me.

Just to let anyone know, if you're just submitting a spec script, DO NOT put a shitload of camera movements in there. Sometimes it's necessary to make a point for the story's sake, but they should be sparse. A producer or director just wants to read a story, not get dictated to by an outside amateur how you think he should be setting up the shots in his film, IF he buys the script. There is a reason there is an entire sub-industry that writes shooting scripts for these uppity cats.

Just got the software and I can't wait to use it. But I have to say the UI looks at least a decade old...

I am new to screenplay writing (started off writing books, but realized I wanted to see my words come to life on screen). I was using free software to produce my screenplays, and let me tell you. Although I am VERY thankful for the free products available, I am SO SO SO glad a I purchased Final Draft. It is an amazing program. It gets me excited to write. I don’t have to search for multiple apps to accomplish what I need. Everything I need is right there! Thank you 🙏🏾 🙏🏾🙏🏾
