I was recently learning with a drop through. If I were to do a top mount is it a big difference when it comes to riding?
ОтветитьI bought a double drop longboard because it looks cool, but it's so close to the floor that i can't turn all the way, bacause it scrape with the ground, it's like a wheel bite, so i mount the deck top the trucks to rise it, and now it's like a regular drop down 😂
ОтветитьBought a cheap af, heavy-ass flat tail drop-through from Kmart (Australian Kmart) about 6 years ago, and it's outlasted every other board I've had since then, despite plenty of neglect and outright abuse; I think I got super lucky, damn thing is enchanted or something 😮😂
ОтветитьJust to highlight, lower boards are easier to push, because after you step on the ground to push with your foot, to step back up on the board, there's less of a distance. If you do that motion a million times on a high board, it feels like you're doing lunges every time you push.
ОтветитьIl just say I had a never summer assault cruiser board and it was awesome. Fiber glass tail and nose. Very fun board.
It was great for getting down over obstacles, and for going down small stair sets.
I’d you want something faster, yeah listen the the guys advice.
What kind is the best for learning how to slide?
Ответитьi have a double drop longboard and just learned today that it’s meant for downhill
ОтветитьDude where'd you get that jacket?
ОтветитьI like drop throughs because they feel really smooth and comfortable
ОтветитьGreat information. I appreciate your opinion on these board types.
ОтветитьOh my god you are way more helpful than the kids that were at the skate shop I went to today! I assumed it was weird that my drop through deck looked weird... Turns out it is a drop down deck! I want one with a little bit more carving turning capability so I think I should probably go to a regular drop through versus the drop down
ОтветитьWhat do u think of aloiki and two bare feet drop through boards
ОтветитьDued new subscriber love the content. I have a double drop longboard bought the loaded pantheon trip colab board last year been using it for a year now and love it!!!
ОтветитьReally nice video, everthing is great about it, no need to change the recipe! ;)
ОтветитьAre u fu%$*mg kidding me?! I watch the video to see the review with my Gf to show her a drop down board so she can choose and when it comes up it's a PICTURE?!?! Smh
ОтветитьGood DIY video. Educational and entertaining! Helped me narrow my focus on longboard deck type. Liking the wood shop too.
Ответитьholy shit, the most detailed video about shapes out there! <3
Ответитьraised not raced
ОтветитьAre Santa Cruz longboards good?
ОтветитьPunked Longboards which is a brand owned by Yocaher Skateboards makes great longboard decks that come with griptape installed and the holes predrilled so all you have to do is buy the deck, the trucks, the wheels, the bearings, the risers, and the bolts and I made a Kicktail Longboard this way for $160 and its amazing. But I bring this up because for people that are looking for a quality Double Drop Longboard deck they also sell Double Drop Longboard decks as well they just call them Lowrider decks though I hope this helps some people.
Ответить*for me
ОтветитьI have a drop down and drop through but I want a double drop and a set of double kingpins so I can call it the double double
ОтветитьI have to choose between Tan Tien and Drop cat 38.
Tan Tien are more cheaper around my house, and have à kicktail maybe it can go up and down the curbs, and tighten a turn by raising the front...
But i like the rocker of drop cat, i want a smooth stuff for cruising, and nimble.
great advice!
ОтветитьMy absolute favorite board is a fiberglass stout by landyachtz, it's the big cruiser style you don't like!
Hands down the most responsive board I've ridden to date, if you aren't a carver they probably aren't for you. I just have them as loose as I can get them, and one came with Swiss bones bearings, build quality on point 👌
The other I've converted with Waterborne Surf adapters, I love it!
Hello from Brazil! I'm a beginner and searched these informations from your video for days, and just finally found it! Thank u very much, new subscriber here 😀
ОтветитьI bought a Retrospec zed 44” long board. What do you think about that brand and the board in general?
ОтветитьIve been saving bits for a few months now and am building a board around the tan tien flex 1! I cant wait to learn!
ОтветитьI use a drop through ❤️just perfect
Ответитьİts amazing all my questions are answered thank you brother
ОтветитьAhahahah your drop-down deck drawing was so kyut. I just bought mine and it’s hard to carve on it for me 😆 or maaybe it’s because it’s my 4th day as a beginner. Thanks for this vid thoo!! Super informative <3
Ответитьtop mount boards should be renamed bottom mount boards , that makes better sense
ОтветитьTurning isnt bad on drop down decks at all. And they get you lower then drop through they are also much more durable then drop through. Super easy to pump and slide with and if you are into thje fast downhill stuff you cant get anything better. I dont do much hills these days but I pump like crazy lol.
Ответить🤙🏼⚡⚡🤙🏼
ОтветитьHOOOOOOOIIII!!! thanks for this! This is the right video for me ヽ(╯▽╰)ノ. I’ve been looking up what kind of longboards to buy and everyone kept saying cruiser or those platypus shape, but they never really tell me if it’s a sub-category of this other category. For a beginner, they all looked the same to me! And soo~ I wanna know their differences and have a good amount of knowledge on everything that I’m getting myself into XD.
Anyway Im talking too much! Thank yuuu from the bottom of my heart ヽ(╯▽╰)ノ. I shall pay my gratitude by subscribing and doing all that! Cyaa!
correction double drop down
Ответитьi havva drop down but use it for downhill but u need harder wheels for sliding
ОтветитьWant penny board. But thats just to small
"This is Long Cruiser. If you familiar with cruiser boards, this is one of these.."
That's it!
"Don't buy this, this just straight trash."
Jesus Christ
My first board was a double drop down. <3 it was super comfortable for my first board years ago. Plus being afraid of heights, it was my best friend xD
ОтветитьI may or may not have bought a flat tailed drop through Longboard form eBay a few days ago that only cost like 43 australian dollars and I'm waiting for it to arrive, yes I know it was probably a dumb choice but I can't afford anything expensive BC I'm only a kid and my parents dont ever give me money so I used my christmas money my grandad gave me last year😅
Edit: by kid I mean 13
i have owned 2 longboards… both are pintails and top mounted… the first one was $60 and 38”… i thought it was pretty good, other than the occasional wheel bite… BUT i got a $210 pintail 41”… trucks are better and more agile, deck is flex (but not too flexy), bearings are a lot smoother and faster, and wheels are much softer… perfect for my dancing and cruising needs… much much better than my old one
ОтветитьI bought Globe Sledgehog 2 years back when i first started longboarding. It’s pretty low and stable.
ОтветитьGreat video!
ОтветитьSick video bro. Still trying to decide if a top mount or drop through would be easier to learn on. Literally never stepped foot on any board before.
ОтветитьGreat Video! I own a dropthrough right now and I love it for going on fast runs and slidng crazy. But Im just worried that if I switch to a top mount, that I’ll get wheel bite going at fast speeds and sliding.
ОтветитьI bought a 34” large cruiser board - it is trash, but for all the opposite reasons you mentioned! Mine is a Sector 9, but is super flexible. Way too much bounce. Very thin - possibly a 5 ply? Trying to figure out what to do with it - it’s not a board I can ride.
Ответитьclaro dices que no compremos los pennys chicos pero no todos podemos darnos el lujo de comprarnos cosas caras solo por comodidad
ОтветитьWhat's up buddy Just wanna know what you recommend I wanna buy Cruiser for me Which one you recommend?
Ответить
