This was made back in 1987 and the Akita Inu lifespan is 10-15 years its sad to think that the dog that acted as Hachi-ko in the movie is dead :(

I really wanna see the movie because I have seen the american adaptation of this original one. I was moved into tears the first time I saw it, that was in 2009. I just dont feel like getting emotional at the moment. But will definitely give it a shot and check the original movie anytime soon.
