God this game looks so good. DayZ has been on my radar for years but recently I’ve really really been wanting it

One way dayz could be incredibly better is making flags easier to build and making building better. Adding doors, windows, snapping walls together, passcode locks where you don’t have to type a code every time, etc.

I recently found a trap base on officials and I had a padlock so I transformed their trap into my permanent base..I have barely any base building and I want to expand.

jesus christ thats so much work and supplies. Takes me 3 hours just to get off the beach alive. This looks like a whole day to make a base where i may just end up dying and losing it all in a second anyways lmao

Great video! I have been playing solo on a vanilla server and wonder if trying to build bases or get cars is even worth it though. Even if you manage to get all the stuff required, someone will find it and smash it within a few days at most. If you get a car, as soon as you drive it near anything populated you attract bullets like a magnet lol. The only way I have found to manage to keep anything is burying it in remote places and using a GPS to locate it along with a screen shot. I bury stuff in large dry bags and I belive they will stay until a server wipe or 45 days, correct me if I am wrong.

On a serious note this was actually very helpful, I'm currently living in a tent in the woods hunting deer, you know it's not ideal but it's a place to call home for now 😂 I'm going to try and find everything I need for a base tonight though so hopefully I'll upgrade my tent in the woods to a log cabin in the woods by a lake or something lol

Building a base! I can't even get away from the coast. It's groundhog day. I just started palying this game, I'm addicted and very good at dying. It's brutally unforgiving. I need to find someone to partner with and learn from I think.

I'm quite certain I just locked myself in my own base. I put the combination lock on thinking I can choose the code after that and now I can't open the gate.

For anyone new, I learned the hard way, make sure your fences are facing the right way. If the inner frame part of your fence is facing the outside of your Base, someone can come up and simply disassemble your fence.

Right! and when your about to add the final piece to this amazing base you spent a week building, you find yourself facing the beach with an apple in your hand
