Thank you for sharing. Very informative and helping me to better understand how to invest correctly. I tried to download the book but I did not receive it in my email. Tried other books but fail to receive it.
ОтветитьThanks for sharing! What if my stock drops 50% because of macro trends as this company’s business results are affected by cyclical (macro) reasons, should I DCA in?
ОтветитьDiamond Hands!!!
ОтветитьSo is Chinese market temporary 😅
ОтветитьAnd this is why a passive, low cost, low fees ETF dollar cost avg strategy works best.
ОтветитьA lot of sg stock I thought they r temporary but after a few years …. I am not so sure anymore ….. 😢
ОтветитьGood one, guys. I taught my (working) kids the same stuff. 😅 Plus, one more point, diversify.
ОтветитьThanks for this timely video. Sometimes we just let short term trades become long term ones, waiting for the stock price to go back up. But even if we decide to get out of a stock, I think it's important to talk about when to do this. If my stock went down 70% in the past week, I don't think I should be exiting the position now when the market conditions are unfavorable. Should I not at least wait until the general market is better before offloading my position? So that I might recover at least the part of the drop that is due to macro conditions?
ОтветитьThanks guys. Learnt a lot from different inputs from each of you👍
Ответить90% drop would be Rivian since IPO.
ОтветитьWhen you buy Tbev at 0.71c and now it’s 0.50c for so many years. What should we do?
ОтветитьStay invest so long u r buying gd quality co. Buy more if meet the intrusive value
Ответитьjust CHIAM SEE TONG .depends on your personal runway & holding power.
ОтветитьAlibaba, Singpost, Starhub
ОтветитьThanks for the sharings. Holding to a stock that tanked 90% may not be bad if it is only a small % of one's overall portfolio, as it can be a constant reminder not to repeat the past mistake (as long as it does not make one overly risk adverse).
ОтветитьGood advise. Once i decided to change platform, left with 4 counters that tanked 60-80% in the account. Chose a 良辰吉日 then sold everything and closed the acct. Next day woke up a happier man and moved on. Real story 🙂
ОтветитьLike many said. Thai bev. Also CDL as well
ОтветитьI have Tbev @0.73... lol. So i choose to buy more at 0.465 ..
Averging
Losing more than 60% in AEM 😢. Is it advisable to hold on or sell?
ОтветитьMy Alibaba is down 51%... I'm well diversified, overall profile is still in the green. Should I continue to hold?
ОтветитьDiversification is important to reduce the risk of a significant downside to your portfolio. Having 50% to 100% on one single stock is risky. Even Warrent Buffet trimmed his AAPL position just to hold cash as a way to protect his investment in the event of a crash.
ОтветитьCould you do a video on when the right time to sell is?...most would say stay invested if the biz is good..but external factors come in..Would it be better to take the gains and reinvest again if/when the market drops?
ОтветитьHow do we value a stock if it's good to buy
ОтветитьDid not mention whether that particular stock , alr loss of 90%, gives out dividend consistently.
ОтветитьI've got 7 counters about 90% Losses.. so what? If I sell, I get peanuts.. I just hold.. I just forget them... I refocus on my next strategies
ОтветитьDiversified 👍
ОтветитьHi, just saw your video. Many thanks. But will like to know what to do with stocks that are suspend. (e.g. Midas and Yongnam)
ОтветитьThank you for the Fifth Person giving such a valuable inputs to our young community and all.
Just to summarise what I learned from this. Keep it up guys !!!
1. Diversify your stocks as much as possible into high quality stocks, and keep the long term horizon in your mind.
2. If losses happens closely monitor and review your thesis, based on the news just do the prediction, but don't take an action and don't be emotional as you have already diversified.
3. if your stock price goes down drastically, let it go and study it, monitor it.
4. keep remember the lesson learned and keep continue investing, while you maintain your emergency funds and additional low risk investments.
5. Live the life at the moment and happily retire like a humble human being.
Thanks again!!
