I actually thought that last Rachmaninoff piece harmonically sounded like Gustav Holst. Would never have guessed Rachmaninoff.
ОтветитьMy guesses:
Beethoven ✅️
Chopin ✅️
Bach ✅️
Tchaikovsky ✅️
Schumann ❌️
Mendelssohn ❌️
Prokofiev ❌️
Schumann ❌️
Mahler ❌️
Dvorak ❌️
Mozart ✅️
Strauss ✅️
Mahler ✅️
Mendelssohn ✅️
Prokofiev ❌️
i got stravinsky from the first note- lmfao
ОтветитьBartók, hungary
Ответитьthe Chinese fella is pretty cool….Not a fan of the Brazilian guy
ОтветитьI got 7 wrong totally.
ОтветитьI got 10 out of 15.....i am rusty.... I have become a Beatles... Green Day..... Maynard Ferguson... aficionado 😉
ОтветитьWait im actually shocked that Blumine is on this list. I love that piece and always thought it was well known haha (Though I'm not a classical musician I just listen to a lot of classical)
ОтветитьLol Guessing Brahms, second guessing cause I know the complete recordings by Katchen. Recent discovered great
PS Rachmaninoff?
Actually the finnish language and the hungarian share the same language family. "Finnish-Ugrian". But, nowadays it's under debate. Just my thought on your suprised look about Sibelius.
ОтветитьI love you guys, and love that you hear stuff with your intelligence and your feelings engaged. I was like you, fifty+ years ago.
ОтветитьThe Brahms one is a lot like the second subject of his first sonata
ОтветитьHungarian and Finnish belong to the Finno-Ugric language family. Could make sense of why Sibelius sounded like Bartok.
ОтветитьI got the Sibelius one!! Ha
Ответитьsomehow got the last one
ОтветитьA great quiz indeed! I flunked 6 out of the 15 : #2 (guessed Liszt instead of Chopin);#5 (Delius instead of Debussy) #9 (Bartok instead of Sibelius); #11 (Haydn instead of Mozart) #13 (Neilson instead of Mahler) and #15 (Bruckner instead of Rachmaninoff)
ОтветитьThe Sibelius scream 😂
ОтветитьHoly shit, i guessed them all correctly even though i listened to classical music when i was a kid, except i guess Liszt instead of Chopin , i had no clue i could guess composer 😊
ОтветитьI love how Brett is using shazam without Eddy noticing but still loses.
ОтветитьLove the show! Wish you can make another one soon
ОтветитьI was doing so good in the beginning, but just kept getting progressively worse.
ОтветитьMahler and Bruckner are both Austrians not Germans.
ОтветитьI was today years old when I noticed eddy has an earring
ОтветитьI love this game!!
ОтветитьI thought the first one sounded like euroca
ОтветитьI guessed Vivaldi because he's one of the very few that I actively listen to (and he's pretty recognizable) but that was literally the only one 😅
ОтветитьHungarian and Finnish are actually in the same language family, so it's not entirely surprising that Sibelius could write something that sounds Hungarian, the two are more related than you would expect. Obviously language is different than musical expression, but it could have had an unintended influence on the way music is expressed across cultures.
ОтветитьI knew Sebelius while you didn’t guys 😂
ОтветитьThese unknown works are astounding!!!
ОтветитьVivaldi was the only guest I had hahaha
ОтветитьI'm already settling on me only getting the second one right. And it may not even be on super sound logic bc I know nothing about either Schumann, but it was the variation in the time that made it feel like him for me. The "Robbed Time" I don't remember the actual term for it, but it's like the only thing I remember learning about composers from my highschool music history.
Side note, does that mean Stravinsky sent the first ever documented unsolicited dick pic?
Yeah sure your names are Brett and Eddy....and I am Darth Vader
ОтветитьNe ho indovinate 7 !
ОтветитьYou should get Hillary to do this one. I wonder if she knows the sibelius
ОтветитьI got Mendelssohn!!!
ОтветитьChopin
Ответитьamazing idea! i actually did a decent job😂
ОтветитьThe languages of both Finland and Hungary are Uralic languages, because there is shared cultural history if you go back far enough.
ОтветитьI enjoyed watching this so much. Didnt know all of those pieces. But how didnt you know the last one, The Rock is quite oftenly played. If i would be making the list, i would put Rachs Prince Rotislav instead of it, then no one would guess it.
ОтветитьI got the first 7 and about half of the rest. I’ve been playing in a professional orchestra for almost 20 years.
ОтветитьI think Hungarian and Finnish are related to each and not to much else.
Ответитьfun fact, Finnish and Hungarian are in the same (quite small) language family
ОтветитьIs it just me or does Brett's score stop showing after the 8th guess or so?
