I actually thought that last Rachmaninoff piece harmonically sounded like Gustav Holst. Would never have guessed Rachmaninoff.

I guessed Vivaldi because he's one of the very few that I actively listen to (and he's pretty recognizable) but that was literally the only one 😅

Hungarian and Finnish are actually in the same language family, so it's not entirely surprising that Sibelius could write something that sounds Hungarian, the two are more related than you would expect. Obviously language is different than musical expression, but it could have had an unintended influence on the way music is expressed across cultures.

I'm already settling on me only getting the second one right. And it may not even be on super sound logic bc I know nothing about either Schumann, but it was the variation in the time that made it feel like him for me. The "Robbed Time" I don't remember the actual term for it, but it's like the only thing I remember learning about composers from my highschool music history.

The languages of both Finland and Hungary are Uralic languages, because there is shared cultural history if you go back far enough.

I enjoyed watching this so much. Didnt know all of those pieces. But how didnt you know the last one, The Rock is quite oftenly played. If i would be making the list, i would put Rachs Prince Rotislav instead of it, then no one would guess it.
