What is the manufacturer's rationale for the very steep-sloping top tube?
ОтветитьThanks for the review. I'm always skeptical when it comes to frame storage, especially with a bottle cage on the cover. Will the it still work properly after 10k miles on gnarly roads with a 1L bottle in the cage??
ОтветитьI want to like this bike more than I do.
ОтветитьI think the sloped top tube is for good stand over height clearance. Many flatter (parallel to the ground) top tubes eliminate close to half of the US population (most women and shorter inseam men) because of this. If you don’t have at least a 30” inseam your out of luck on many other company’s smallest frame (XXS or XS) because you won’t be able to stand over the bike unless you are on your tippy toes.
This is especially true as the trend towards wider and higher tires are also decreasing the stand over clearance because wider tires are also 4-6 cm total height higher (2-3 cm on the top and bottom of the wheel).
Love that top tube slope, it could save the go nads in some unfortunate circumstances
ОтветитьNo you haven't visited tao New Mexico yet ( underline the word yet) 🤔 Up coming video in the making I reckon😊
