But honey is forbidden in the first year due to bacteria that causes botulism.
But I would try not to give my baby anything with sugar. Especially if they have teeth.
Now that I am an old grandma, I see the dangers of sugar.

Ok I was getting worried cuz my girl doesn’t eat a lot she just takes a few bites then she is done and she just plays with the food. She doesn’t even try to put it in her mouth but she puts the teething crackers in her mouth tho.
When you said food is just a sensory thing and not to worry if they don’t eat a lot put my mind at ease.

My baby boy is 9 months (first time parents) and we're trying to find foods for him other than eggs but gah he scares the crap out of us. Like those pancakes for example, he likes to take bites and a few seconds later he takes another bite with his mouth already full so we have to finger it out so he doesn't choke. Idk if anybody else has that problem with their baby. It's stressful because we have to have our eyes glued on him every second so we want foods that are filling but can go down somewhat easy.

My son is 6 mo and I've just been doing purees lately bc that's what I'm comfortable with so far. But I do want to move onto BLW. So much information has been popping up on my feeds that I'm feeling super overwhelmed and kinda been feeling like a failure for starting with purees. But, I found your page and I've watched most of your videos of your start to solids and I just feel reassured that I'm doing ok. What I just do and feel good about is fine. I stopped watching your videos for a little while. I have been feeling so depressed after my first son was born in December last year. Things have been so hard to keep up with, and money has been tight. Watching your videos again though always makes me feel more enthusiastic about life and all the fun ideas I get from you have me looking forward to tomorrow.

Actually you should books an egg for at least 15 min and yolk should be very dry, 8mo should not eat runny yolk. Scrambled are ok as long as it’s not fried
