If you pour water on a rock... Nothing happens.

On the technical side the bunnies have a pre-made path which just loops, making some circles. Bats and other flying critters don't have any paths and wonder randomly, since there's no walls to stop them.

It probably goes in a certain course, as you said, it went into the same place again, so it is probably coded to go in a loop
