thank you! this helped so much. ive been drawing for 10 years and i have not improved as much as ive wanted to, and ive finally decided to take initiative of my drawing skills and draw better sketches and understand art more and this is exactly what i needed!

everyone says art is easy and that it's not a good career path. honestly, who cares about what they think? It just adds proof that they aren't artists or at least don't understand the hard work that's put into art. I just recently started digital drawing and its been a difficult journey, especially with my sketches. I'm a perfectionist and whenever I see the smallest error I panic and zoom in to fix that tiny mistake. Hour passed as I fix the time mistake. I'm trying to move from this but sometimes its soo difficultttt.

Thank you so much for this video it kind of helped me with thinking my art isnt THAT bad.. its my dream to make digital drawing animations, which in fact im making one right now, but its hard for me because im doing it ALL on my pc and theres not really much drawing apps for laptops Which is why my drawings sucks

But anyways my mom is gonna buy me a ipad soon (well after we get out of hard times) so im really looking forward to that because thats when i can have the apps i need to make art and animate and i am gonna make a channel for my animations.

Last thing is that even though i feel like my drawings are bad i cannot stop thinking of animation so much so that im gonna animate on my laptop, it may not be the best now but i cannot allow these good animation ideas go past my mind without even drawing them.

I was drawing you while i was watching this and I like how I drew the body and the hair but the face could use some work. It was really fun drawing you and I think i'll be drawing with reference more often. I also like the fact that its more realistic than my usual style which is way more cartoony when I wanted it to be semi-realistic.

Another tip, don’t compare yourself with other artist, be you.

It's good if you don't use reference. But reference IS cheating; using it more than or less an not using your head is basically copying others like the "professionals" did.

Nice way of thinking, I recently got to the point where I just figured out that I have to start doing it, become independend, overcoming my fear of showing my art on social media, ect. I actually think that at some point most ppl get frustrated cuz they think they arent improving, then they pause and live is taking over, and as you say its harder the longer the break goes because it´s no longer part of your routine.
