Seacat was Troon to Belfast. P&O ended the Troon to Larne route in 2016.
ОтветитьWhy are foot passengers left to board ship, with little or no ameanities. Safety dies appear whennearing the ship. The tourist boards/ local councils note; families on budgets, walkers, hickers etc seem not to be included, ' travelling is an exciting part of a holiday', not a poor experience, that needs, to be overcome. Note Britany Ferries, have the same regimes, so it's not ferries ib Scotland
ОтветитьOn one of it's first sailings from Troon, the Seacat crashed into a concrete post . I don't think that there was much damage.
ОтветитьWe are regular visits to Arran and were there for a long weekend last weekend. The ferry service is in a real mess at the moment and it was the first time we had sailed across from Troon. We went back to Ardrossan though. The terminal building and slipway seemed so far away from where the cars wait to board the ferry. Then it seemed to take ages- some cars had to turn around inside the car deck as they go on at Troon in through the stern. The lorries had to reverse off the ferry at Brodick. Also as it was so windy, it took ages for the boat to dock in Brodick. Also at Troon the foot passengers had to board via the car deck. It wasn’t ideal but I thought it was better than having no ferry at all. It must be so frustrating and a nightmare for the people who rely on the ferries for work and those who live on Arran.
ОтветитьIve never seen the ferry on that side of the pier where the timber ship or Waverley berths. Glad to see some of the badly designed outdoor seating being replaced by something more comfortable!
ОтветитьInteresting video but please check the spelling in your captions, a number of mistakes.
ОтветитьThis is the future.
ОтветитьEdit: Seacat operated between Troon & Belfast and P&O officially stopped opening from Troon in 2016
