Episode 5: She Inkstone 第五集：歙砚

She inkstone, also known as Sezhou inkstone, originated in Shezhou between Huangshan, Tianmushan and Baijishan in Anhui Province, which was highly praised by many ancient calligraphers.
The documentary shows the complex and complicated craftsmanship of She inkstone by telling stories of its successors. The material must be carefully selected with moderate hardness, lumpiness and fineness. It won’t become a finished product until being profiled, designed and curved. The most critical procedure is to choose theme, content, layout, shape and way of curving according to different textures and types of the material. High-definition camera decodes the secret and charm of She inkstone from all-around aspects.
歙砚，全称歙州砚，中国四大名砚之一，产于安徽黄山山脉与天目山、白际山之间的歙州。苏东坡评其“涩不留笔，滑不拒墨，瓜肤而縠理，金声而玉德”，受到历代书法家的称赞。
本片以传承人的人物故事为主线，展现出歙砚制作工艺的繁琐和复杂。歙砚的选料要求十分严格，需要挑选出硬度适中同时要有一定的块度、粒度的石材。将所选石材制坯，再经大师设计、雕刻，最终成型。其中制作砚台是道极其重要的关键性的工序，要根据砚石的石质形态，认真考虑题材、立意、构图、造型以及雕刻的刀法刀路。通过高清摄像机，从各个角度全方位的解读一方歙砚背后的韵味。
