Anyone who got in there must be crazy! They are guilty towards the children.
Ответить“Getthere-itis” is most often fatal. How many times does this have to happen before someone puts a stop to it? Another authority - other than the people directly involved that need to get somewhere - needs to step in and say ‘you’re not going’. Just wait and live another day.
ОтветитьIn this situation....YOU DRIVE.
ОтветитьHe took off like a rocket headed to space.....
ОтветитьHow do people with zero common sense keep getting pilot certificates? Much less training.
ОтветитьStay away from small planes unless you are a missionary
ОтветитьThe story was they used de-ice fluid bought at Walmart to get the ice off the plane before takeoff. Wouldn’t make any different in that weather.
ОтветитьThis is nuts!! Sometimes one wonders if people have brain damage but can still function somehow. Crazy!
ОтветитьAs a Trucker who has over a 1 million miles im not Trucking in those conditions >
ОтветитьWhat is so important to get to that you’re willing to die trying to get there. I don’t even know if driving in that weather is worth it. You could see the plane AOA right after takeoff way exceed the speed. Stalled at like 200’ I bet.
ОтветитьIts called a White-Out! Whoever gave that plane clearance to take off killed those people as much as the pilot!
ОтветитьShould the airport have been closed in those conditions?
ОтветитьHe'd probably have been fine w/out the wing contamination...
Helluva' a bunch of weather to fly in though.
Can't cure ignorance. Mother nature does that for you!
ОтветитьWhat a senseless loss. Incredible that it took off in this weather.
ОтветитьI wonder why the plane crashed. 🤔
ОтветитьI mean.. I wouldn't drive a freeking CAR in that weather.. why? what and idiot.
ОтветитьFor those thinking that the weather caused the crash, the investigation found that it did not
They found that it was a combination of pilot errors...
-Aircraft loaded to over gross weight
-Out of limit aft CG
-Below speed high alpha rotation
-Incorrect reaction to the aircrafts stall protection system
Directly from the NTSB report
"the airplane was loaded over the maximum certificated gross weight and beyond
the aft center-of-gravity limit. A total of 12 occupants were on board the airplane, though only
10 seats were available"
"The takeoff rotation was initiated about 88 kts which was about 4 kts slower than specified
with the airplane configured for icing conditions"
"An airplane performance analysis indicated that the accumulated snow and ice on the
empennage did not significantly degrade the airplane performance after takeoff"
"similar but less extreme pitch oscillations recorded on the previous flight (during which the airplane was not contaminated
with snow but was loaded to a similar center-of-gravity position) suggest that the pitch oscillations on both flights were the result of the improper loading and not the effects of accumulated snow and ice"
"Flight recorder data revealed that the accident pilot tended to rotate more rapidly and to a
higher pitch angle during takeoff "
"Piloted simulations suggested that the accident pilot’s rotation technique, which involved a relatively abrupt and heavy pull on the control column, when combined with the extreme aft CG, heavy weight, and early rotation on the accident takeoff, contributed to the airplane’s high angle-of attack immediately after rotation, the triggering of the stick shaker and stick pusher, and the pilot’s pitch control difficulties after liftoff. The resulting pitch oscillations eventually resulted in a deep penetration into the aerodynamic stall region and subsequent loss of control"
The FAA is full of industry insiders now. No help from there. This flight should not have even happened.
ОтветитьHolly crap, that's a no brainer, just wait for the weather to clear!
ОтветитьDunno what the cause of the accident is, but it could be anything from ice on the wings, to bad IFR conditions, blocked pitot tubes, etc. NO WAY would I continue this flight.
ОтветитьWhy would anyone make a decision to fly in that kind of weather? Could've the airport even told him not to try this take off. Had I been a passenger my ass would not even boarded that flight.
ОтветитьPilot needs to be in prison if he survived.
ОтветитьYes, pilot is in charge and made horrible decision to fly. However, as a flying member getting on that plane is plain ridiculous. You tell the pilot to have a nice flight, I will fly out tomorrow or whenever because I would like to wake up on earth the next day, not in heaven or similar cozy place.
ОтветитьMoney doesnt buy common sense... taking people with you to the grave with piss poor judgement is your ticket to hell
ОтветитьI am a pilot and fly big jets it needed deice. I grew up flying in Alaska flying in the snow and cold weather in small aircraft. The main problem is the is snow sticking and I will bet Ice under it and probably a factor.! RIP
ОтветитьWas it his fault or the airport or both. I would feel bad if i cleared it with the plow but ultimately somebody's boss overrode the decision as usual . Cops say stay home boss say get your ass to work
ОтветитьCAN EVERYONE STOP CRASHING?!! What is with the insane amount of flight crashes the last two years. Stay off the damn things.
ОтветитьA pilot in commands duty is to make that go- no go decision ….. get there-itus be damned !!!he failed in his duties and got them all killed !
ОтветитьThat witness wasn't recording the takeoff because they thought flying in that weather was a good decision.
ОтветитьJust another way the 1% thin out their gene pool.
ОтветитьLooked like a good day to park in front of TV to watch Gun Smoke re-runs. When Gawd sends such an unambiguous message about flying, it's a great time to stop, look, and listen -- to Him.
ОтветитьVery unfortunate. So many FlightSafety missteps - not included in report - reasoning as to why PIC "needed to get home" - indicating the accident could've been avoided.
ОтветитьPeople talking about the terrible weather should probably read the NTSB final report.
Ответить#1 You are overloaded. #2 You have people sitting in the aisles because there's no more seats, they are not strapped in!
And #3 You decide to fly in this weather knowing you are overloaded? #4 Your wings are iced etc...? Great Move....
Who trained you?
Did not get all the ice off the wing after working on it for a long time
ОтветитьMost obvious plane crash ever
ОтветитьNo plane had any business in the air in that weather
ОтветитьYoure kidding right. I have 26,000 hrs from J3 to A330 and all in between. I would never EVER go fly that plane in that weather. wtf.
ОтветитьThis is stupid and crazy! no other words.
Ответитьits called icing when weight occurs on the wings making the plane heavy
ОтветитьIf you are hell bent on committing suicide, don’t bring innocent people along for the ride. What a horrible, senseless loss of life.
ОтветитьI’m a road, sweeper with forty years experience and I think he shouldn’t have taken off if he was going to crash.
ОтветитьThe NTSB report is available at www dot ntsb dot gov slash investigations/Pages/CEN20FA022.aspx
ОтветитьOne of the few benefits of being so ugly that I have literally made women cry, is that when I feel like something isn't safe, I can say so and go back inside, and I haven't lost any social capital because I've got nothing to lose.
ОтветитьThis is what “Crazy” looks like.
ОтветитьWas it the inexperience/ignorance of the pilot, or we wanna make a buck mentality of a company?
ОтветитьThat is how it is for 7 months in midwest.
ОтветитьGet your deice and get air borne. You have jet performance. Act like it. This is just a normal day. We cannot always have a sunny Sunday afternoon. Geeze!!!
Ответить
