I bought my 1st and 2nd Leatherman while in the military ('85-95). We were allowed to carry while on the job (KC-135 crew chief).
My 1st was the original, and the 2nd was the second generation. I acquired the mini several years later.
I still have the 2nd gen.
Would love to get a more updated version for daily carry.

I own a similar tool (from another vendor) and guess what: It is forbidden to carry in my country because you can open the knife part with one hand (and/or gloves).

So this becomes pretty handy if I need to break a car window and cut my buckle straps in an emergency I got in my home . 😒
