Ik it's not a folding blade but the twin sided blade from d:dotd it's also pretty cool
ОтветитьI never noticed how complex the folding blade is until I watched this video, very fascinating!
ОтветитьThe folding blade reminds me of the hidden blade from assassin's Creed series, they both can retract their blades.
ОтветитьHow the fuck does it spin?!
ОтветитьI love this game
ОтветитьIt's a very cool lightsaber
ОтветитьOne of the best sword designs in video game history
ОтветитьThis feels like a butterfly knife but not really if you know what i mean
ОтветитьIf you're wondering... It already exist...
Its called "Box Cutter" 😂😂😂
honestly to this day even with the slow motion ive no clue how tf that thing works
Ответитьi like how emily kinda throws it a bit forward when unsheathing and sheathing, showing her inexperience with that sword and not knowing how to use it without taking her fingers off. while corvo more slides it around his hand, moving his fingers out the way when sheathing instead of completely letting go of the sword because he's used to doing it since at the point of dishonored 2 he had used the sword for years
Ответитьso basically corvussy sussano is using de throw catch spin thing thing and el mily call wing is using de fidget spinner spin thing thing
ОтветитьIt makes sense that Corvo's animations were more "flamboyant" since he's already well acquainted with the blade
ОтветитьThe corvo attano sword is unique and does not work in real life
ОтветитьAnyone else noticed some of the sword animations sometimes clip through their hands in Dishonored 2?
ОтветитьSo basically weird butterfly knife sword that extends and retracts the blade. -cool
ОтветитьAm I the only one who thinks that 2's folding blade animations aren't as good as the first game's? They just feel so much less fluid and stylish, kinda stiff and lifeless in comparison to the first games animations
ОтветитьI never realized convos sword is just a really large gravity knife
ОтветитьA way to fix the flaws would be to have a solid blade and a longer handle.
Ответитьjust a silly question:
which version of the pathmaker (that's the sword's name) do you prefer, dishonored 1 or 2?
This blade makes no sense, but it looks cool 😎
ОтветитьSo THAT'S how it works
ОтветитьКаааайф 😍😍
ОтветитьJust one slip and you've cut an artery lmao
Ответитьnice
ОтветитьI wanna see the hacksmith make corvos sword
ОтветитьInteresting that Corvo's sword looks and functions like a Balisong (butterfly knife)
ОтветитьLooks good. But mechanlically its horrible
ОтветитьThis is probably the closest thing to “Non-Euclidean geometry” that we’ll ever get visualizing that is still comprehendible to a human mind. It’s the perfect microcosm of man’s dreams vs reality.
Think about it, this game is lovecraftian at it’s core, with deep sea monsters and ancient powers that surpass mankind’s greatest creations.
There’s noway a sword like that can exist in real life (that wouldn’t require constant reassembling, even in the most skilled hands), but the logic is there, if not sound.
The blade folds perfectly into the handle and seamlessly transitions between forms, but trying to construct such a weapon is almost a pipe dream, requiring means that elude human understanding.
Goes to show how Dishonored 1 was so much better made than 2. Even in these little details.
Ответитьthis blade seems to pop out instead of pivoting out and then popping out the second section. it is possible to make a blade like this that actually works by combination of sear latches pulled on by pre-tensioned cables and compression springs and a think i just micht have a design of a mechanism that comes somewhat close and maybe works, I'll translate it from a few sketches done in the study time inbetween engineering classes when i have enough time and if there's enough interest I'll expedite the process.
this is all possible within early medieval age tech but the engineering ideologies such as tensegrity or compliant mechanisms didn't exist back then...... or so we think since we do have the antykithera mechanism which shows they had clockwork (and this blade is very much so just that) figured out. the biggest challenge is fitting everything into the handle & I have very basic tools too.
this folding blade makes no sense
ОтветитьYour channel is about my two favorite games: Dishonored & We Happy Few. Thanks so much for your detailed discoveries and recordings!
ОтветитьIt's not even a folding blade, it more looks like a OTF blade seeing as how the handle just opens up and the blade retracts and extends outward into formation
Ответитьskimped on Corvos animations, typical
Ответитьphysics be damned lol
ОтветитьImma be honest, the animation look better in Dishonored 1
Ответитьit sometimes looks so small for a sword.
Ответить"conservation of mass? never heard of em..."
Ответитьwhen you realize it doesnt actually unfold and just extend out of the hilt
rip
Dang its not in 4K such clickbait
ОтветитьMeet the Spy
Ответитьi really like how emily handles it differently from corvo in D2, and that corvo handles it the same way in both games (the little flick when putting it away)
Ответитьhave any of you guys watch rwby? cuz this is madness even for rwby standards.
ОтветитьThat sword is legendary and yet I never use it. I'm spending too much time sneaking around and not disturbing guards.
Ответитьalchemy
ОтветитьIt's like a switchblade but with a bigger blade
ОтветитьI'm in love with the Folding Blade, it's like a mix of auto-switch blades and butterfly knives but maintaining the look and length of a shortsword. So fucking cool.
ОтветитьOh, so it’s a lightsaber. That makes sense, actually. Seeing as the blade is longer than the hilt it folds into, and seems to be one solid piece as opposed to a segmented one.
