Well, I would let it pass if the protagonist had known her as a teenager at most, but he literally has a sisterly relationship with the daughter of his ex crush, since she was a newborn and he changed her diapers, it's shady, very shady, honestly I would have preferred it to have been another girl who had fallen in love and gotten over her old crush, who didn't stay with her, true but I feel that it was pure grief for his daughter and it goes without saying that it is completely shady.

This is just pure creepiness and pedophilic, even if the guy refused at first, he still does at the end. If your own kid (blood related or not) is going after you then you have to set serious boundaries or in some extreme cases separation.
