G4 folded again only a year after this video was published.
ОтветитьThat looks so awkward and uncomfortable
ОтветитьI want to watch this, but watching them with masks on is so offputting that I can't do it
ОтветитьI love ytube for the fact that, this video is a year old and I can discover and binge all 3 parts back to back.. the only thing that sucks is that you don't get the interaction, example Adam says he lives in fear that the domes won't fit and at this point he doesn't know he's foreshadowing..
ОтветитьMasks. Can't watch. 😒
ОтветитьCan you do a Samurai suit?
ОтветитьI know it's a replica but you can't use wood in space.
ОтветитьI love the cascade of information. Adam goes to an expert to learn how to make a suit of armour. Someone else comes to Adam to learn how to make a spacesuit. Information and expertise cascades down all the time. Love it.
Ответитьi need the hard part torso structure measurements and the bearing size
ОтветитьDoes anyone else think the brief looks like a diper
ОтветитьIs there an Etsy store?
Ответитьlmao masks were like a religion to these people. Still gotta virtue signal even though the pandemic was over at this point and they were all working way more than six feet apart from each other the whole time anyway. Can't go against the cult, though. Mask up, folks!
Ответить“It looks like shot until it looks perfect” 😂 that actually made me lol
ОтветитьDude, you are alone, the mask makes it so hard to hear. Not all your fault. Figures it happens on one of your best shows.
ОтветитьHow did we get along before drywall screws and battery drills? lol
ОтветитьThere's this thing I forgot about fiberglass; I hate it. XD
ОтветитьSorry that this question is a year later, but I'm curious... Why does the hard upper torso have to be completely hard, with a porthole type opening for the head. Couldn't the top of the suit have a more open top for the head, with something similar to how the arms are put together? My neck hurts just watching you get into the suit and popping your head through the hole. I think you mentioned a hazmat suit. Hazmat suits are great protection against elements, but I dont think anyone would want to stay in one for extended periods of time. Heck, if you're building a suit from scratch, change it up a bit. More head space allows for more situational awareness. NASA seems to be getting better at personalizing the suit for each person. Sadly, one of those million dollar personalized suits was destroyed when one of the supply rockets exploded on take off. Not only was NASA out a million dollars, the astronaut could not do her planned EVA. Thanks
ОтветитьMore views should be here
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьAnother boring watch comment from me. You should get paid by Omega, they get more product placement in your videos than they do in a James Bond film.
ОтветитьAdam, suggestion when you're doing fiberglass work. instead of trying to brush on the resin, before it kicks... just dunk the entire piece of cloth, in the resin, before you lay it up. Then you're just using the brush to smooth it out. It goes a LOT quicker that way, and you don't have to worry about dry patches. Just, wear gloves! ...since you're handling saturated cloth. Hopefully this helps with your next fiberglass project. Keep up the great content, I always look forward to your next project!
Ответитьi’m watching this while working on my own suit, not a space suit, but a suit that can survive antarctica to a volcano, bullet resistant and has cooling and heating, hearing adam talk about how he’s been thinking about it for years made me tear up a bit it reminded me of my own process towards the suit
ОтветитьI really want to make this but I’m not good at any of this
ОтветитьEpic spacesuit indeed!! Cant wait for the finished project!! Gonna continue watchin right now!!!
ОтветитьYou should try fleece to put fiberglass on that’s what my dad would make custom consoles n speakerboxes out of but he would put chicken wire in some time to shape easier like skulls n Chevy logos or flames he did auto interior for 60 some years hope this helps n some easier way for you best show on boobtube thanks for sharing buddy
ОтветитьAdam Savage Museum Anyone?
ОтветитьJust like the Stormtroopers suits
ОтветитьIf I was you I would have just vacuum bucked that suit
ОтветитьDude whoever is picking the music during some of the time lapse and stuff is absolutely killing it. I assume they are mostly copyright free tracks but some of them are absolute bangers
ОтветитьIs this real and can this work in space
ОтветитьSo sad that the whole planet had to wear those idiotic masks based on lies...
ОтветитьSome people may just look at Adam like an engineer, but to me he's an artist as well.
ОтветитьThis build was an absolute blast, to watch. It turned out fantastic! And I learned a lot from it too. But I'm curious, is there footage of ALL of the fabric patterns being cut, sewn and attached onto the suit?
ОтветитьThe "Spaceship" with the fewest life threatening incidents is the spacesuit. The greatest advance in spacesuits, such as the convolute constant volume joints, was from Playtex, the bra, and girdle company. They hadn't done Nasa or government contracts before. The influence Nasa had was to degrade the Playtex contribution. Forced a relationship with a previous supplier, Honeywell, who eventually failed to steal the Playtex design, and got the life support system contract. The spacesuit life support systems of at least 2 astronauts malfunctioned uncomfortably. John Glenn's over heated in the sun during his mercury flight. Ed Whit's spacesuit fogged up in the visor because of excessive exertion during his poorly planned first spacewalk.
Ответитьno wonder your show gets more views than Alien covenant....their suit was a masterpiece but the movie was crap, so we would rather watch how to make the suit! ;]
ОтветитьFantastic!
ОтветитьI love that the can of WD-40 only has the "WD" part of the label censored
Ответить@AdamSavage - Can you say "Modularity" a couple times in Radar's Father Mulcahey ("Jocularity") voice?
ОтветитьI can see a problem now that we’re approaching the end you’re gonna have to put something in there that you’ll be able to scratch your nose on the inside of that helmet it’s gonna drive you nuts maybe a little sponge type towel on your left and right side out of you turn your head wipe little sweat scratch your nose just a thought buddy
ОтветитьSomething funny just happened when you started doing the twist and I heard that waste bearing moving I let out a yelp my wife came in and said what’s wrong I said nothing Adam just succeeded put on his pants he said what
ОтветитьThat suit looks a lot like the suit that connects to the XHRV-1 suit ports.
ОтветитьOkay, you two should do a show together. Or at least be on each other's shows more often.
ОтветитьI saved this so i could watch it after exams. No regrets. Good reward.
Ответить"Is this six?" Checks against tattoo. "Yes, it's six".
ОтветитьLose the masks already...
ОтветитьI missed how that center black section is so springy. What is that fabric?
ОтветитьKid in a toy store when he gets into the suit with the pants on. Brilliant.
ОтветитьNeeds to have the American flag on one of the shoulders and they don’t put antennas sticking up like that because they’re going to hit everything and eventually get broken off that’s kind of an obsolete idea.
ОтветитьCould you please make me one of those!
Ответить
