as much as i don't like this game overall i do like how there's little details about how every case of an android becoming a deviant its always just after interacting with red ice. and the fact that the androids physiology is much more similar to humans than like a car, which makes me think they're more artificial cyborgs than real androids.

god i wish i could've rewritten the scene with the founder to have some explanation along the lines of "the cyberlife androids are incredibly complex and intelligent AI's, to code that with traditional methods from scratch would have been impossible, so we used replica's of human minds as a base and put limits in place to make them behave more obedient and useful. clearly something is causing the software to skip those checks"

also they missed an opportunity to play with android designs more, make shittier older models and cheap knock off's.

its such a shame they just didn't explore the premise in any detail beyond "what if slavery but again"


actually after rewatching this video (and after learning a lot more about real revolutions irl) this game is a lot more realistic than i originally thought, but only when i realised that jerico is not good at doing a revolution. they just messed up strategically by revealing the game too soon instead of secretly going around recruiting ALL androids and striking at once, (ie the hatian revolution). they didn't press their advantage and they ended up getting realistically genocided cause of it, (kind of exactly like the stuff going on in palestine Right Now. although idk if the palestinians ever really had a chance to win that they missed out on but "small insurgent group attempts violent offensive and instead gets their entire people murdered)

nah i still don't like it, cause they definitely didn't think thats what they were writing so they still had random dumb shit like the cops just leaving them be after they killed them
