Will Disney SELL Their Retractable Lightsaber?

How much would you Pay for this Retractable Lightsaber? 💰

I doubt they would sell they rather using it for some shows maybe in the parks or at filming could see couple of made for The Acolyte but doubt it as well since we don´t know how much it has cost Disney alone to building one of these. But it is for Entertainment purpose not mass production that would be sweet but highly doubtable to will be realized since they aren´t well able to been used for battle it doesn´t makes sense but maybe they can updating it to been able to been used for battle.

The Jedi Training Lightsabers at Galactic Star Cruisers werent´t the same like The one and only that Rey´s swinging and that even was only used for wow effect at the beginning and than she changed it into a fighting blade (that led on the ground in front of her) to battle Kylo Ren on the Starcruiser.

The Hacksmith Lightsaber is much more credible

This thing isn’t made for dueling. Not even for filming either. You can see in the hotel show that when Rey ignites it, she has to grab the dueling saber from the floor when Kylo Ren pushes her or something. I can’t remember the whole thing, saw it in a video.

couldnt they just use a led strip in a spiral formation in a balloon that blows up like those blow up sword at the fair and then after it blows up when you retract it. it just sucks the air out of the balloon and saber to create a suction and bring it back down like im i big brain or not any flaws tell me i also have alot more ideas for this below...

Why not just make the ones from 20 years ago with the plastic telescoping blades, but clear and with leds?

I prefer a lightsaber that can actually cut through anything And I'm talking about the old one where it's a steaming hot sheet of metal That one you could have had actual lightsaber fights It cuts through anything hacksmith lightsabers are better keep getting worse every time Because the blow torch when you cannot have an actual lightsaber fight And yes it does cut through stuff but you cannot have a lightsaber fight with it

Just started getting into Star Wars, I always loved the lore but couldn’t really get into to the movies. Went shopping online for a lightsaber and was taken back on how expensive they are. In todays economy, I am doomed to be saberless

With the Starcruiser shut down, it's definitely not outside the realm of possibility since they will be looking to make back the money they poured into the Starcruiser.

If I had to build this thing, I'd use an inflated cloth tube of some sort. Something which can diffuse the light evenly and which can be carefully rolled or folded so that it "activates" realistically.
Install a bright colour LED and a loud lightsaber hum (to cover the noise of the small blower fan) and working lightsaber. Which you can't swing. Which can be "deflated" but not "retracted" as expected.

Now, I know you guys need a retractable saber…

well obviously its a bunch of small torches. idk why so many people expect it to work like a real lightsaber, its probably the closest thing we can get to a lightsaber. please stop complaining about it looking like a dollar store blow torch, id like to see you make something of that quality

It's not exactly hard to make and their patent can stick it as long as you don't sell it for profit. So make one rather easily.

I think its just like a giant LED strip that works like a tape measure and is so bright you cant see the shape, and would be wobly if swung fast

Before watching how it works… my assumption would be that it’s just that the plastics ‘saber’ retracts much the way the toy old ways when you’d whip it to make it come out… except it retracts mechanically… that’s what I’d have guessed

It’s definitely the most realistic saber ever built. However, I think the closest thing we’re gonna get to that saber thats durable enough to duel with is the force action lightsaber. They have lights and sounds and they fully retract into their hilts, that’s good enough for me.

They cost roughly the same price as the freelance mass produced sabers. With one third of the quality, and the industry is already at a base 300% markup on quality parts.

Of course they will. The only reason they bought Star Wars was to sell merch and to use the IP in their theme parks. It obviously wasn't to make good movies or shows.
