DIY Photo Backdrop Stand | Pinterest or Instagram Style Picture Stand for Yard | DIY Photo

Our birthday party needed a stand to hold the large backdrop my wife bought. Instead of buying one on Amazon, I decided I could make this in a matter of minutes with a few tools and some lumber.

The frame or stand is about 5 ft tall, and 6ft wide. But your canvas may be bigger, so you can adjust the measurements however you'd like. This is also intended to stake in the ground. You could easily build this with the intent to be stood up indoors, but ours was going in the yard.

The basic premise for this photo booth/picture spot/photo frame/whatever you want to call it is that we are cutting out "stakes directly from the 1x4" lumber that is going to get hammered into the ground. The backdrop will be stapled to the frame, which has a nice and flat surface of 4" for us to pull the backdrop tight and staple it.
