So basically, eventhough this scene seems like terrorism and some monsters highjacking a plane, they didn't hit a tower, only scratch a few windows with the wheels, which seems like "a good ending" in comparison.

Which makes it seem like lilo and stitch had the Antivirus but it wasn't applyed and then it was delayed and then we got the logical opposite wich is "them hitting the tower".

This is not how it works. But what do you know about a collective consciousness and an objective experience of reality? Nothing. OK. OK. ok...

(I’m literally just coming up with this theory as I’m writing this comment) but I wonder if it was the place design in the 2001 version was involved with the September 11th Attacks and that’s why they had to change it in the 2002 versions (again just a theory of my)

They did well to change this scene.
Not just for the September 11 issue.
But also because they had to show that Jumba and Pleakley had a spaceship.

To be fair I prefer 2002 version since it all happen on Hawaii, and the spaceship design is more suitable for alien instead of normal air plane on earth, and logically speaking that in what kind of situation that alien doesn't have they own ride that they can move freely in the galaxy when arrive to earth.

Someone should post the full movie with the cut scene instead to see if it would have actually worked

Although it might’ve been quite the plot hole anyway since there’s the whole thing about being on an island with no large cities

I remeber watching this scene as a kid and always found odd Gantu's ship bumped in the mountains like that. It didn't make sense since the mountains looked ginormous and the ship and scenery didn't add up in the scene.
