Bro is a random word generator
ОтветитьI'm so impressed by this kiddo's honesty and grace. Oh, and he's a fantastic artist.
ОтветитьPpl in the crowd chuckle, but it is very serious. Those of us that are music snobs.... those of us that live our lives around music and have seen thousands of shows and really take this serious get offended by bands like imagine dragons, maroon 5, .. even taylor swift... It's garbage.. Taylor has 18 hair and makeup people... sorry, that is not talent. That's pop. I wish instead of bringing out taylor swift, Matty would have brought out an actual respected bad ass like Keef ...
ОтветитьLove Lauren, Q101, Matty and The 1975!!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьThe way I’ve always seen artists who go through drug use while making albums, and then they become fully sober for other albums, it’s a journey. Music is all about the journey, and to be able to see the evolution of an artist that comes out of an addiction, and how it affects the music, it’s baffling.
ОтветитьI'd hardly call 1975's music socially relevant.. apart from part of the band which is a little interesting. The somebody else song, the new pop songs.. gimme a break. Dont act like you are this political band you arent!
ОтветитьThis is one of my favorite Matty interviews.....and I come back to it often.
He's very smart....very aware...and very existential in how he thinks. He's ALSO very charming and charismatic and outgoing and down for a laugh.
But not here. In this....he's hungover, or high, or tired, or all three. And he's just kinda....talking. And I love it. Because I've so been there. Hell, I'm kinda there tonight, right now. Tomorrow I'll be all bright eyed and bushy tailed....ready for the day. But right now? I'm a bit.....mired in my own mind.
And I really appreciate Matty for being so honest about wherever he's at....at any given moment. He doesn't BS....he just is who he is at that time.
There's plenty of interviews where he's got the charisma and charm turned up to 11. He knows how to do that.
But this interview....is not that. And I love it for that reason. It's honest.
comfort interview
ОтветитьWhat a monumental prat.., pop singer philosopher junkie .. shut up
ОтветитьBut you’re even cooler now that you’re clean, Matty 🙏🏼❤️💌
ОтветитьThis interview just hit me. Matty is so sincere, so real, so down to earth and so open about everything. The part about his drug addiction I just was sitting and listening and feeling him, his pain, God knows only what hell he’s been through and I am so happy for him that he could fight his demons, at least the most dangerous and hard ones. I wish him nothing but all the best in this life. He is special. He is fragile like an expensive porcelain cup, he needs more good people around him who will always support him and protect him. 💜
ОтветитьDamn this was powerful to watch, very honest and empathetic person. I’ll have to really take some time to listen to this band.
ОтветитьI know someone who became a heroin addict but he never stole for it never hurt anyone but himself and cared for his grandma until she died...I think he used it to deal with the fact that she was ill but he did lie to people nothing serious just about why he had to go or why he couldnt go to something and he told me it was because he had to use to feel normal and he would lie to b able to go use and then go home and care for his grandma...last I heard she had died he went back to work and stopped but he still uses in his off time but works away for weeks without it so I guess some people can use heroin and still function I guess it's like people that can drink without getting pissed sort of if u get my drift.
Ответитьwhat happened with Imagine Dragons?
ОтветитьHahaha, fuking dump
ОтветитьMatty is a pissed off English dude.
ОтветитьHe's the person. He just is.
ОтветитьSo vulnerable 🙌❤ and love how talented he is!
Ответитьwhy is he always with the cough when he has to do those kind of live performances hahaha
ОтветитьI really like his candor.
Ответитьhow have i never seen this interview? i feel like i just watched a therapy session this interviewer is amazing
ОтветитьWait we can tune the guitar with the capo attached on fretboard?
Ответитьcan the interviewer be my therapist?
ОтветитьHe is a breathtakingly honest, open, thoughtful interviewee. Really remarkable.
Ответитьi envy the way his mind works. he has this hyper-awareness to the world around him that makes him so interesting.
Ответитьis he just gonna sit there with that guitar for this whole thing and not play it?
Ответитьlowkey feels like a therapy session
ОтветитьGoddamn Matty's brain is huge. One of the smartest and most woke artists I listen to. Could honestly just fall asleep to him saying blah blah blah over and over again and feel like I'm gathering new info
Ответитьwatching this after notes has been released is vvvv interesting :)
ОтветитьAs someone around Matty's age....who's also dealt with drug issues in my life....I hugely appreciate how open and HONEST he is about his own life.
I especially love that he's not one of those ridiculous people who confidently assert that drugs are objectively bad.
Actually, drugs are....amazing. They're basically the best thing that exists in reality. THAT is why people get hooked. People get addicted....because of how GREAT drugs are, not because of how awful they are. The awful part is running out...or withdrawing...or getting caught...and all the shit that comes with that.
Bro that’s how my therapy sessions would go but without the fancy words
ОтветитьThe whole extended conversation about drugs was really interesting.
It seems he was incredibly honest about it here...the struggle with addiction...and all the boring cliches that come with that.
But also about how he genuinely loves drugs. I mean...you'd have to be pretty sheltered, naive, or intellectually incurious to NOT find drugs, at a bare minimum, interesting. And so often these days, the de facto response to drugs is sanctimonious and tedious. Matty is WAY more honest about all of it. The bad...and good, of all of it. And nothing about "DRUGS" is black and white. It's damn near entirely gray. And Matty knows that....but also knows how tenuous it is to talk about it. But he does so anyway...at least in this interview. And I really respect that. And appreciate it personally. Everything he said makes perfect sense to me.
He look so tired:(
ОтветитьI WATXH THIS SO MUCH I LOVE THIS LADYS VOICE
ОтветитьI'm in love with that outfit, especially the jumper...so cute
ОтветитьHis vulnerability is so attractive
Ответитьnotes in august 2019, sure matty, may 23rd 2020 is more like it
ОтветитьIt's funny.....Matty damn near always looks super hungover/sleep-deprived/depressed.
And yet....he's incredibly attractive. And....intellectually, a very positive hopeful forward-thinking human being.
He's quite the riddle. And that, among other reasons, is why I think he's such an interesting artist/musician to follow. His words have weight. He cares.
Tuning with a capo on the neck?
Matty......come on mate. :P
I understand his point that artists should use their platform for a positive purpose and I agree with that to an extent, but if I was a successful musician and I don’t want to make a song about climate change or similar then I won’t. I think everyone can agree that music gives people freedom, and it’s a bit hypocritical that artists should now be expected by so many people to use music in such a way. If I want to write an album about getting pissed up in a field then I should be able to.... because I want to..... freedom?
ОтветитьBRUH THE WAY HE WAS LIKE RADIOACTIVE WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAH HAHAHAHAHA
ОтветитьBruv is the biggest libtard ever
ОтветитьDan has legitimately been writing meaningful music about serious issues since the very beginning of his career. Matty spent the entire first 1975 album minus two songs talking about about girls and drugs, he's such a hypocrite to act like ID make meaningless songs because of one single. He acts like ID should shut up and take criticism but he's complained about criticism of himself plenty of times
Ответитьi what-
HES FROM TOON
slight fan girl moment
His reaction and smile when they discuss whether he's cool :) Beautiful
ОтветитьI am so in love with Matty Healy 😍
ОтветитьI love this human being
ОтветитьI actually think dan reynolds has the biggest heart ever and has always fought and will always fight for the lgbtq community, he does charity concerts if I'm not mistaken. who else in the music industry that does that? I think those real actions are waaay more impactful than protest song (is that what you call it?) he's a good dad if not great, he has struggled with his marriage and his physical health, and he openly stated that he also struggled with depression and seeing him to this day with so much positivity is making me feel awful for complaining about my life. correct me if I'm wrong though
